I love the added volume these Bumpits give my hair. I was a little skeptical that I might look like someone from the Jersey shore, but I didn't. It was just enough "umph" in my hair to make it look like I had thicker tresses.

I purchased bumpits because I loved the hairstyle shown on TV. I was able to achieve said hairstyle fairly easily by following the directions enclosed. The bumpits seems durable, safe, and are extremely effective. I would recommend these to anyone.

I always wandered if a bumpit was going to work. I always wanted one, with seeing them on t.v alot. I thought they were cool! So i got one a few months ago... And they rocked!! I wore one to my christmas dance and all eyes were on me, and yes, i used a hollywood bumpit. everyone thought i looked pretty!!

After seeing the Bumpit, many are wondering if this really works and is it as easy as its three easy steps slogan. The package I received held three dark brown Bumpits, a teasing comb, and a style guide. Seems easy enough, but upon opening the styling guide, there are more than three easy steps. There were in fact seven steps, and are all relatively easy. These are just specific instructions to make using this product easier. The guide does give some useful tips such as to use hairspray and tease hair for a smooth and flawless bump.
To test this product, I stand in front of a mirror. Following the instruction guide, I select a portion of my hair and begin to tease it a bit starting at 3" away from my head going down to my scalp. I slip the Bumpit into place, put my hair over it and presto, volume! Now that my hair is bonded with the Bumpit, it does require some filling of holes and hairspray. But do not expect to get the perfect Bumpit look on the first try. It does take some getting used to. It may look weird on the first try, but keep at it and you will find the perfect look. As a last note, this product does not work well with oily hair. It should be used on freshly washed and dried hair for best results. report abuse

I tried this product hoping for the best but they didn’t work for me. This is not to say that they won’t work for somebody else with better hair texture than what I have. My hair is fine so it takes more of every kind of hair product to make it do what I want it to do.
The “idea behind/beneath” these is great and you can get the achieved “look” you were hoping for if you do it right, but for me, the Bumpits didn’t “stay” in place well enough on my head for me to wear them out comfortably. Maybe I just wasn’t or couldn’t get them placed under my hair properly. If you’re going to be sitting pretty still they would probably work but if you are going to be very active, they may not stay put under your hair. Plus, if you don’t use enough hair spray, they might show through your hair. I didn’t like the fact that you must use an enormous amount of strong holding hairspray. I might as well just tease my hair, use the hair spray and lift my hair with a comb alone than to add this hard plastic device and still have to do all that. This may be a great tool for someone with better texture of hair than what I have. Good Luck! report abuse

Wow! Well what to say about Bumpits, but I absolutely love this product. It is easy to use and creates beautiful, long lasting hair designs. I wore the Bumpit all day today and never once had to fix it. It stayed in place and kept my hair in place as well (never has another product been able to accomplish that feat). This was a well designed product that allows its user to create professional looking hair styles without the time, hairspray and money that would be required in a salon. The Bumpit was easy to use. My 8 year old used the small one for the front of her hair and it stayed all through her play day as well. She looked great even after a fun day in the sun and she knew how to use it and will continue to do so. Thank you so much for allowing me to try this product out. I will definitely recommend Bumpits to my friends and family.
