Awesome Tips NASA is deliberately smashing an asteroid in the name of planetary defense

The Double Asteroid Redirection Test spacecraft will deliberately crash into a near-Earth asteroid to try and knock it off course. Scientists at NASA and Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory hope the DART mission could help us save Earth from a catastrophic impact.

  1. I won't lie, describing it as 'a golf cart crashing into the great pyramids' definitely made me want to see this even more! (And don't worry, when they knock it off course, Dimorphos will still maintain its orbit around the larger Didymos asteroid, so it won't suddenly come hurtling towards Earth!)

  2. It’s pointless effort. Humanity needs planetary defense system of very strong laser combined with nuclear missile battery and tracking station installed on the Moon.

  3. Space is fake

  4. Smashes minimum with a 29 Megaton Nuke Warhead

  5. That poor scientist needs a nose job BAD!

Since religion people believe that their God has been saying that the world is going to end, God is coming when's that you can't control the universe you can't control the force God comes when you die and meet your make,r Hello

  7. Can anyone confirm if this will effect the fornite servers

  8. Plot twist : Nasa crashes DART into an astroid that was not headed towards earth but after impact, DART alters the astroids course and sends the astroid on a crash course towards earth 🙃

  9. They might be thinking of doom 😂😂

  10. This is why we are having a coo pandemic and all.kimds of other distractions

  11. Why not just nuke it? What if an Asteroid would be half the size of the moon a little satellite won't bother it.

  12. Don't look up!

  13. 15k won’t do it by itself! You’ll need double that

  14. Cool, It just changes its orbit….. …..

  15. A satellite is not a dense object!! So even if it strikes miles/km per second will it have sufficient energy to deflect it even a little? Is there a weight buried in the structure of the satellite we can't see?? May i suggest beryllium/copper or Rhenium???.. When the terrorists hit the towers in New York in 2001 it was a similar scenario!! Commercial aircraft are not dense! Density messes with the physics of flying. The twin towers, as near as I ever saw were not pushed off of vertical at all. The damage was inflicted by the heat of the burning fuel???

  16. So what happened?

  17. Since there's such a huge size difference, you'd think they'd send multiple darts to see how much of an alteration they'd make to the asteroids course. One probably won't do much

  18. And then they told you Redirecting a smaller asteroid causes a larger asteroid to redirect.and didymos come to Meet the earth. Domino effect you know.😉

  19. One problem with this is if you hit it and knock it into a new flight path straight for earth your in a little trouble

  20. Guys we are dead its the end of earth 🌎☄️

  21. Quran :Surah Mulk verse 5.
Is it mean NASA helping satans? :O

  22. I wouldn't bump it unless you mean to be rid of it.
