  1. Has anyone used adobe illustrator on surface book?

  2. A 15” iPad Pro would be nice

  3. Good

  4. Apple to Apple. Comparison.. 🤣🤣🤣

I think surface is targetting a different group of consumers unlike ipad.

  6. For professional work I use my Surface. The iPad makes you jump through too many hoops to do simple things like file management.

  7. IPad Pro obviously 🙄

  8. In regards to the Surface Book 3 when used as a tablet, Windows 10 does have a new Tablet Mode that keeps the functionality of Desktop Mode, but optimizes things for touch use. For example, windows can be moved, resized, and snapped to the sides or corners of the screen extremely easily and with almost no effort, since the user just needs to drag down and to the side or a corner to snap something. The effective area for this has been increased when used as a tablet, so this is far, far easier than it sounds or may seem to be (applications don't have to be dragged all the way to a corner to snap to a corner, for example–same thing with snapping to a side). With iPadOS, (I think) the user has to find the other thing they want to use split view with by closing what they already have open, and then find the other thing they want. In Windows, that's not a problem–the Start Menu (or Start Screen, if someone prefers using it that way) allows someone to find the thing they want without closing what they have open. Plus, multitasking is just easier, since all someone has to do is swipe down and to the side or a corner without searching for something else first. In addition, with the new Tablet Mode, up to four applicants can be used simultaneously in snapping mode–one to each corner. Yes, iPadOS can use the same number of things, but it could be argued it's not as elegant or powerful.
The apps situation isn't a problem here. People always say "The Microsoft Store doesn't have the nessecary apps". So what? When you use Windows 10 in the old or new Tablet Mode, you're not using a tablet. You're using a condensed, full personal computer! There are browser versions of apps for them. Besides, the browser versions usually work just as well, if not better because they have more features, than their app counterparts! Apps were designed so mobile devices could have an easier time loading stuff due to early power differences between then and full computers. On a personal computer, you don't have that issue, so apps are replaced by things done in a browser. And why would this not be a problem as a laptop, but it would be when used as a tablet? That doesn't make any sense. The same operating system is running. By the way, Office–full Office, which is something iPadOS doesn't have–is great when using a Windows device as a tablet.

honestly both are fantastic. i have both. one really can’t replace the other but i do highly recommend both especially for creative people. i had my surface book for 3 years before i finally saves up for the ipad pro i could not have done the other way around. the ipad is still not a computer replacement unfortunately. both wonderful devices though great review 👍

  9. Which one is better for making YouTube videos

  10. brilliant video…. u really know ur stuff 😊

  11. When you pulled out your iPhone, I stopped there.

  12. What the fudge comparison is this lol. A full blown computer vs "what's a computer"

  13. Wow, I still like my ipad pro with magic keyboard combination.

  14. I don't understand how Microsoft crapped the bed so much on the audio! It's really a shame.

This was a great comparison review though. Thanks!

  15. This guy is dope, you can't compare surface book to an iPad more suitable is to be compared to MacBook however, I do not like MacBook

  16. This is the most stupid comparison I've seen here .
It's just not the same devices and not even made for the same people! Obviously the Surface book is better!

  17. What ever I will still buy I pad and a macbook

  18. I changed over from a Windows touch screen laptop to a iPad Pro for my primary personal computer. I’ve had everything from MacBook Pro’s to powerhouse gaming laptops. Honest, the iPad Pro setup is my favorite by far. Forget about using more than other laptops I’ve had, I’ve never enjoyed a personal computing device so much. Aside from the hard-core PC gamers, I’d recommend this setup to just about anyone. It’s fast. It doesn’t have all the annoyances that go along with a PC. It’s just plan better.

  19. Are we really gonna compare a flagship laptop from the creators of windows OS to apples phone ui?

I don't like leaving negative comments but: THIS VIDEO IS STUPID!

  20. 2:18 Apple A12Z is equal to i7 8750H in multicore and higher in single core tests!
Nd gives a better battery life!

  21. Up next on CNET we'll see compare the coronavirus with the Big Mac

I’m a UX designer, and I take notes, use figma with figurative, answer emails and create word documents on the iPad Pro. It’s my go to machine for almost all tasks I do for work as well as content consuming.

  22. “It’s more of a mobile processor than a full blown laptop processor.” …what? Like…based on what metrics?

  23. Nice and honest review, descent vidoe and no show off like other gadget gurus

  24. Apple fanbois always compare surface book against iPad pro.
But not surface pro, it's half the price or cheaper than iPad pro, better in everything, maybe not as much in touch use but everything else. It just defeats it.

  25. Why does this video exist?

Why would anyone think that the two devices are comparable? iPad Pro is mobile-centric, running on a powerful mobile phone based SoC and is best experience as a tablet (have you seen iPadOS's cursor?), while the Surface Book is genuinely a "special" laptop running on an x86 chip and best experienced and made the most of, as a laptop.

They're different devices for different people, and even possible that there exist individuals who will own and use these devices for different individual tasks. I have a Windows laptop for my design work (powerful graphics required) and a regular 2018 iPad for general light tasks such as browsing and sketching. I didn't see a need for the iPad Pro. iPadOS is still very limiting especially when it comes to file management, so I can't truly use it. But for a leisure tool? Yes please.

  26. And I watch one video and it is a short clip because In the end of my video watching I don’t get comfortable that’s why ok

  27. I decided to get a iPad Pro ok

  28. Next comparison: Samsung Refrigerator vs. Air Jordan 12

  29. CNET tech lately is turning into a pile of garbage

  30. Cant really compare a powerful PC to a iPad at this moment.

  31. If you do any software development, iPad is a no-go. Just about anything else though the iPad does very well.

  32. Samsung Tab s7+ and iPad pro review please

  33. 1:25 turn itself into a pickle

  34. This is an Apple fanboy VS there is no way a full-on pc is not better than a tablet. This is plan dumb.

  35. I think they are from two different worlds

  36. Literally the dumbest comparison, should be embarrassed you put this video in.

  37. One word, Bluestack. Now your Surface Book can run Android apps.

    Ridiculous comparison.

  38. Can you compare my microwave to a spare tire next? How about an Apple Watch to a T-shirt?

  39. CNET. This is disappointing. This is a very misleading comparison, and it doesn't make you look good.

  40. This is absolutely pathetic.

Surfacebook 3 completely annihilates the IPad Pro. Surfacebook should be compared to MacBook.

This is like comparing a teenage boy to a grown man.

  41. You are lisping, that's curable and should be solved 😣🙄

  42. How can the iPad even stand Infront of the surface
    I mean I use iPad
