Airpods are expensive and will only last you a few years. Well, that’s true of all wireless earbuds. So why do we keep buying them? Convenience probably. But when you are spending tons of money on something, you want it to last right? Well that’s a big reason why WIRED headphones are making a comeback. We take a look at some entry-level planar magnetic earbuds, the 7hz x Crinacle Salnotes Dioko and compare them against the flagship Audeze Euclids. Just how good can $100 dollar headphones be?

Deals for Days. Big home savings are happening now.
as long as the wireless has enough to get through an 8-hour shift, they're fine. obviously, mine did not, but since i still need to hear people, i only used one at a time, so when one started crapping out half an hour short, i still had 7.5 hrs of charge waiting in my pocket
This video sounds nice on my $1 earphone.
One thing to call out with these charts that most people don't realize is that a 3db increase is essentially double. It adds more context to what people are seeing on screen.
👍👍😘😘
What you said about base, is totally wrong. Bas and dynamics are the biggest weakness of planar drivers.
Planar drivers sit between dynamic ones and electrostatic ones. With being a middle ground of the two( ideal world case) where they would be both as dynamic as dynamic drivers and as clean as electrostatic.
I'm sorry, but I don't agree with the take on Earpods sounding crap. I have expensive IEMs and headphones, but you know what I mostly use? Damn right, the earpods! I have 3 pairs since they're so cheap, and I use one for gaming because it's much better at footstep audio than my Beyerdynamic DT990 Pro. The reason I don't wear IEM's is because I don't like them sitting inside my ear. It gets uncomfortable after a while, even with foam tips. Also, hearing the environment isn't a bad thing especially when you can't afford to miss some audio cues.
Nice review. But i'll stick to Sennheiser gear for gaming and music. . For me personally thé God of affordable sound
Yeah, don't understand how companies can sit in California and pay the insane wages. I would move to the Midwest where cost of living is lower and you are not forced to pay $20/hr! Or soon to be forced to pay it!
What google has to say about this issue of non-replacable batteries in AirPods:
How much does it cost to replace an AirPod pros battery?
If your AirPods with old, degraded, or damaged batteries are out of warranty, Apple can service them for you. Apple charges the following battery service fee for AirPods: AirPods 1st and 2nd generation: $49 for each AirPod. AirPods Pro: $49 for each AirPod.
And third party local repair shop would probably do it for way less than 100$ for you.

That looked like a 4.4mm Pentaconn not a 6.35mm
I can't see the line on that black background
Also apparently sub-bass doesn't exist
Thank you for the reminder! I've a pair of sennheiser hd4.40s i need to get a battery out of. 3 years old and I'm a little worried about that spicy pillow… Thank god i can use them wired
US made Bluetooth adapter?
Sign me up!!!!!!
Where crinacle x truthhear or qkz x HBB or tangzu wan'er?
now a Wireless Adapter with 2.4ghz/5ghz instead of BT….would be great for Monitoring too…..but seems that u can only get a Pro, Stage/Musician Wireless System that can do that trick -_- damn money xD
More audio video like this please 🙏🙏🙏
earphones don't need to cost 1200$ and not even 100$ to be excellent..
you must review QCY buds and compare the quality
If you are looking for the cheap kz Bluetooth cable, i can't recommend it, even for 20 dollars. It has a lot of background white noise. This might not be a problem with planars due to their low sensitivity but on the other side this will probably lack the power a planar needs. Spend 10 bucks more on AliExpress for some other Chinese Bluetooth cables. There are some for 30-40 dollars with a proper neckband and even ldac or aptx hd.
But for really good headphones/iems , especially planars I'd go with a small Bluetooth DAC like a fiio
"How does an explosion flood anything?"
….Blow up a dam?
Starts humming the dambusters tune
CRIN WAS MENTIONED!!!
My biggest issue with the dioko is that the included bud tips don't seal very well for me and kinda slip out but that's very much a me issue because everyone's ears are different. I recommend getting replacement tips like something from sednaearfit because otherwise I love mine!
It’s pronounced “Ahh deze “ like “ahhh deze nuts” lol
Welcome to the CHIFI Universe
Bluetooth sucks there I said it
Title of video should be $100 vs $1200 Earphones, those are not headphones!!!
I wanted to make this comment just as suggestion to make more videos like these it's just nostalgic normal Ltt content awesome!
nice
Or be me, watch DankPods, and buy ZSN-Pros for $25 that can also be converted to wireless in the exact same way, look much cooler (IMO) than the weird cabochon while being more durable metal, and have enough left over from the 'budget earphone' fund to buy THREE MORE if mine ever somehow break. But then, I also don't want to pay for someone's name to be on a product either. Seriously though, throw those into the mix and see if you can even hear a difference. No they aren't planar magnetic, but if they sound good who really cares?
Chinese products maybe cheaper. But lots of Chinese factories underpay and over work their workers as well as force some even in slave work. Chinese made products should not be supported.
So I just clicked on a sponsor link for the first time ever… it felt weird
Another LTT video where they want to shit on chinese stuff just because its cheap?
Does this guy looks like Linus?: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LT8nIfPjjc4
here's a suggestion on how to show viewers the difference between earphones, headphones, iem or wireless earbuds
use binaural microphone, just like the one asmr artist uses
could've introduce the dongles that turns 2pin or mmcx iems into TWS, not those one that uses the wires. Well, tbh probs reason why LTT introduced the wired one is probs because that the one that audeze sells for their euclid is one with the wire but, talking about turning wired solution to wireless, those TWS dongles would made lot much sense compared to those wired neckband ones.
I honestly wish that we could get a wired version of the Airpods pro
It's time to let people that write these great scripts to actually present them in the video themselves. Fucking tired of watching Linus that has no clue what he's saying pushing buttons on his teleprompter controller
Audeze nut
1200 bucks…. They must be perfect no buts.
so why is the title headphones
Hörluchs just the best
