  1. **Correction: The Sense controller buttons and triggers are touch sensitive. I incorrectly stated they don’t based off a few games I played where it didn’t. I’ve got more games to play!

  2. 😂 People are pissed because you didn't refer to the PSVR2 as "perfection personified", it really isn't that much better than the Quest 2 from my experience and the tether alone hurts it. Naturally it is better in some way because it's new, and they have had all the time needed to adjust to critiques about the competition. Still it's only interesting if you own a PS5, and if you don't already own a PS5 you'll need to dish out a grand for the entire set up. That's a lot for marginally better advancements, attached to a tether with a weaker game library on top of that. PlayStation fans will definitely want it, however those who prefer meta will just wait for the Quest 3 which will be superior to the PSVR2👑

  3. I got my PSVR2 yesterday and the only problem I’m having is say I’m playing horizon or even pavlov and I go back to the ps Home Screen, it just crashes?? Anyone have this problem too? Any fix? I’ve tried deleting the game then re downloading it !! It’s so frustrating

  4. Biased review quest fanbois. Can’t find the controller? Really? turn on the see through view duh

  5. I think the best option would be to wait until late 2023 for more, better titles to begin taking advantage of PSVR dev kits that were released. Considering the accessibility, i’m optimistic about more Quest ports and larger titles available in the near future.

  6. U can't compare the 2 plain and simple. To even use the psvr u need a ps5. So compare it to the quest pro. They are In the same price range then. And the pro would win due to its ability to do AR AND Vr and its ability to be portable.

  7. For me, personally, PS VR2 exclusives are not that important. What's important is that those Meta Quest 2 games are far better on the PS VR2. They look much better, some are Remasters, and all have better frame rates, on HDR OLED displays, on a more comfortable HMD, with adapter triggers, with haptics on the controllers, as well as in the headset itself. This makes them more immersive too, which of course is what VR is all about.

  8. Another CORRECTION: 10:00 it does project to the screen after changing a few settings.

  9. The oculus socialization aspect is an added bonus. Oculus is gaming and a WHOLE lot more.

  10. Not being able to play steam games and not being able to mod are huge deal breakers for me. You’re very limited to sony with the psvr2.

  11. Why the heck are you wearing a mask with your VR headset? What, are the npcs gonna give you COVID? Or are you protecting the npcs? Foolish.

  12. Lmaooo these "reviewers" are a joke 😂

  13. The cable…..quest wins

  14. Just wait for the quest 3 honestly

  15. Really hoping Sony adds 3d bluray support. It's on ps4 for Pete's sake.

  16. The quest 3 is going to HUGE! All I know is that the PSVR2 is not going to make me get rid of my Quest 2. If it doesn't support PC-VR nativly then it's not for me. I am not looking to buy a console just to run a VR Headset when I have a great gaming pc right here. Why drop over $1K in this economy on a headset I can only use with a console, when I already own the quest 2 and it can do anything I ask of it to do, including native wireless PC-VR gaming?

  17. I have one MAJOR ISSUE with quest , the speed at which they dropped support for the first oculus , had barely been out before quest 2 was a thing and the devs dropped support within a few months, I bought the quest 2 a few months after launch and already hearing about quest 3 , and I simply don't have faith for them to support the quest 2 for long after that , making me not want to buy the quest 3, the iteration is just too rapid need to wait till they giving it a few years between headsets otherwise it's just minor upgrades each time leaving you with big costs , psvr 2 I can trust this will last me the length of the console generation that my spent money will last me a few years

You Wanna talk about cost difference between quest and psvr 2 you need to mention if you wanna keep playing new quest games your gonna be forking out money every 2-3 years where as a psvr2 is gonna last 5-7 , and let's not forget ps5 supports psvr 1 , psvr 2 may even bleed over to playstation 6 further increasing it's cost to time value

  18. All the complete misinformation is this video (there is finger tracking and see through mode to find your controllers) reminds me why I rarely watch anything be cnet anymore, they are a complete joke now

  19. Quest 2 has GamePass

Quest 2 has 3 websites where you can play 1,000s of games for free

Quest 2 has a web browser

Quest 2 is better in every way except for eye tracking and resolution

Quest 2 has a way less screen door effect also

  20. Quest 2 has full hand gameplay no need for a controller on a lot of games.

    Cordless lol cord noobs

You can only play PSVR games Quest can play over 10,000 VR games.

We have haptics lol so does quest 2 they made a vest gloves and a head haptics you can buy for cheap lol

Get me out of here with that PSVR 2 is better bull crap lol

  21. PSVR2 controllers are touch sensitive, you're also basting a lot of your opinion for the quest 2 off of how many games and apps are available for it for a system that's been out for over 2 years compared to a headset that just released less than a week ago not along with Not mentioning the vast difference in what each headset is capable of a preforming, developers stating that they felt held back by how limited the quest 2 capability was. Seemed like a very forced opinion especially With focusing so hard on availability of apps Compared to the time difference that each unit has had to develop them

  22. The PSVR2 does look like a great piece of kit and I've been intrigued by VR for many years but as i dont currently own a PS5 I'm struggling to justify buying a PS5 and headset in one go. It's hard to predict whether or not the novelty would wear off quicly for me and if I'd get my money's worth. If I already owned the console itself, I could see myself taking the leap to VR but it would seem extreme to fork out over a grand just for the VR experience.

I wouldn't invest in a Quest 2 right now if it's looking likely that the Quest 3 will be launched before the end of this year. I've heard the rumours of what it may deliver tech wise but Meta can't cram too many features in as they'll be keen to keep the cost relativity low and they don't want the £1500 Quest Pro to suddenly seem redundant and massively overpriced for no reason if there's so much overlap.

Is this new psvr2 better then an old quest2
    Lol it should be

  23. Can’t find the controllers with the headset on?? You know about pass through mode right? Right? I use it all the time it’s really convenient

  24. Poor journalism/integrity….a lot of misinformation in this video…psvr2 has finger hand detection plus the resolution is greater than any quest available now smh 🤦🏽‍♂️

I’ve watched 4k movies streamed directly through Plex, and the PSVR2 looks great! No screen door affect, blacks look good… the OLED screens are crispy. I intended to use it as my own personal movie theater on the regular!

  25. Inter pupillary distance, not display.

  26. The headset buds that come with it are fantastic. The head strap on he quest 2 is awful, I bought the elite strap and hats even worse for 50 pounds.

450 pounds for the quest 2. 529 for ps5, no comparison. Psvr2 is a high end piece of kit.

The quest 2 is holding back AAA titles, with its awful texures and effects.

  27. Quest 2 and PSVR2 are the only two VR headsets I've ever used. Here's my personal breakdown on how the PSVR2 compares to Quest 2:

    *PROS* (for PSVR2)

    – The headset itself is more advanced than Quest 2, and includes rumble. It also has eye-tracking, which is a neat feature that actually does work very well. Future software may (potentially) make great use of this tech. The lenses are also of a higher resolution than Quest 2, which means less pixilation and more detail. Wider FOV means there's less of a 'looking through a pair of binoculars' effect (though it's still there to an extent).

    – PSVR2 has much better raw graphics than native Quest 2. It is like comparing PS4-level visuals to Nintendo Gamecube (and that's only the best of the best-looking in regards to the latter). It's a BIG difference.

    – OLED lenses means much more vibrant colors than the LCD lenses of the Quest 2.

    – The headset is also a lot more comfortable and secure than Quest 2 and is better at preventing fogging of the lenses. The rubber liners around the set do a better job at keeping outside light from permeating your vision. Adjusting the lenses is also much easier to do on PSVR2, as it can actually be done while you are wearing the headset

    – The controllers are technically more advanced than the Quest 2's, with more advanced haptic-feedback and adaptive triggers that better add to the immersion of some games.

    – Presumably, PSVR2 will receive many games that simply will not be able to run on a (native) Quest 2, due to the difference in processing power, as well as Playstation-exclusive games.

    *CONS* (for PSVR2)

    – The Quest 2 is totally wireless, lighter, and cheaper than PSVR2. It also doesn't require you to buy any external device in order to use it. But if you do have a powerful gaming PC, you actually do have the option to hook Quest 2 up to a PC to play PCVR games – and you can STILL do it wirelessly. PSVR2 on the other hand, needs to be hooked up to a PS5, with a wire, at all times. And currently, the PSVR2 set cannot be used to play PCVR games in any capacity (although someone will probably be able to get it to work somewhere down the line).

    – PSVR2 headset may be more comfortable, but it's also more of a pain to set up and find that 'sweet-spot', which seems to be much more narrow. It may take longer to put the headset on perfectly in order to reduce blurring.

    – There is a perpetual graininess on PSVR2 that is FAR worse than on Quest 2. Apparently, the OLED lenses result in a 'Mura' effect, which looks like a thick layer of something akin to having a screen-door wrapped around your eyes. This is most noticeable in dark areas of a game – especially very dark areas, in which the the 'Mura' effect is so bad that you can barely even tell what you are looking at anymore. It is VERY distracting and probably the single biggest drawback to the PSVR2 for me. All VR sets have a sort of 'film-graininess' to their image, but PSVR2's 'Mura' is on a whole other level and is also completely 'static', making it all the more distracting.

    – Quest 2 has a much larger library of games over PSVR2 right now, and if you include BOTH of its native games as well as PCVR support, it is unlikely that PSVR2 will ever be able to catch up in its entire lifetime.

    – Quest 2 controllers last waaay longer than PSVR2's. They also use two AA batteries each, instead of being USB rechargeable like PSVR, which means that if you don't own the PSVR2 rechargeable controller stand, it's going to be a much bigger pain to charge these controllers simultaneously – especially considering you will need to recharge them much more often than you will need to replace the Quest 2 controller's batteries. This issue might be debatable, as it depends on whether you own a charging stand (or just hate having to buy AA batteries in general).

    – Quest 2 has native access to a ton of non-gaming applications and features (even disregarding the Quest Pro), such as web-browsers, documentaries and other (vaguely interactive) VR experiences. Again, this stuff might not be factor for some people, if all you want to do with VR is play games only.

    *OVERALL*
Personally, after having owned and enjoyed the Quest 2 for over a year (mainly playing native games-no less) and having originally imagining that I'd retire it to the closet once getting PSVR2, I'm a bit surprised that PSVR2 is not exactly the complete blowaway piece of VR-tech I was expecting. The significantly better graphics and overall more advanced tech is all fantastic, but it's hard to ignore that horrendous 'screen-door Mura' – especially for someone like me who tends to enjoy horror games in VR, which are often filled with dark areas. It actually makes me wonder if I even want to buy something like 'The Walking Dead: Saints and Sinners 2' on PSVR2 or just buy it on Quest 2 (assuming it comes out on Quest 2). Also, while my gaming PC isn't powerful enough to take advantage of Quest 2's PCVR support (with satisfactory results anyway), that is not the case for everyone.

Overall, both sets serve their own purpose and have their own advantages and disadvantages. I'll be keeping and using both units for now.

  28. Wait I didn’t know that your supposed to stick you headphones on to the side

  29. I hope Sony has very few exclusives and has a partnership with steam to share their libraries so that psvr2 becomes the common headset ppl use.

I’d love to see pcvr and psvr 2 become the standard instead of the low quality of quest 2 games

I’m tired of pcvr being held back by quest 2. I’d prefer it held back by the more powerful ps5

  30. Quest two had terrible and buggy games tho. Hopefully
Psvr has a good library of more polished games

  31. CNET should feel completely embarrassed. What a cringe video of lack of knowledge and misinformation.

  32. If anyone know where they live , pass the message ..

  33. Please CNET , fire these 2 clown so bias and blowing the shaft of meta quest .. please launch. Petition to have both these clown fired

  34. I know you guys corrected yourself in the comments.. but saying the psvr2 didnt have sense control was a huge mistake
