I've been using computers since 286 processor days. Yes, I'm a dinosaur. The specs of computers are efing mind blowing these days. Once my 3080 Acer feels old, this could be a worthy update.

To be honest I am genuinely interested in the Asus TUF A15 this year as it has a AMD Ryzen 9 with a 4070 for only £1,499

You are terribly cpu bottlenecked on Returnal. That card and cpu pairing isn't ideal for 1080 AAA gaming. It's better suited for 1440p and 4k. The 1080p display is an odd choice for the hardware.
I'd much prefer a 1440p 165 hz display at 17". 360 hz is just . . . Overkill seriously why???
You can absolutely see a big difference between 1080 and 1440p at 17 inches. The difference is obvious on 15.6 inch displays.

Love your videos, Marcus and will watch any other ones you make. However, I can't support anything Gigabyte has a hand in as their RMA process and customer service is reprehensible at best. Until they change their awful business practices they will not see viewership or monetary support from me. Again, still love your content and will watch other videos as long as gigabyte isn't involved. Always the best.

Hello Marcus , my laptop has 144hz screen , but if i go into nvidia control panel n set a Custom Resolution with 120hz , will my monitor run at 120hz or will it run at still 144hz but only show 120fps in software ?
