Origin PC sent us a white Chronos V3 gaming pc complete with an Intel i9-13900K process and an RTX 4080 GPU, but they told us we weren’t allowed to keep it. Of course, we don’t plan to give it back to them either, so we broke it good and invited our subscriber Calvin down to try to fix it. We told him he’d get to keep this beautiful, compact gaming rig IF he could get it in working order in under 2 hours. Will he succeed, or will we have to find someone else to take this compact ivory obelisk off our hands?

this is pretty fun ^^
Unfortunately people will always be mad when they dont win something themselves.
Screw those guys and just let people be happy when they do win or get given something..
He was unscrewing this first side panel screw for like 5 minutes. 🤣
This dude had no fucking idea what he was doing.
Imagine he is taking it apart but all Linus did was taken the fuse away from the socket 😂
TBH i like watching this type of video because it shows that members of the hosting team actually know a thing or two even after all these years. Lots of the tips and tricks only come from doing it over and over, and there's a lot of TALK about mistakes people make but we don't often see people actually doing it. I say let's see more! (even though it might be hard to produce)
The way I see it, there's nothing wrong with ensuring your guests walk away with something. Everyone loves a happy ending, and you have the means to provide a positive experience so why not put a little more good into the world?
is like a view a Apple Genius try to solve the problem.
I would have taken everything out, rebuilt it on a box, and closed the case up. Probably could do that around 60min. Ain't not way I could do 30min while under pressure.
I see you said male and female reciprocals, but what about the sklees and atackhelecopter ones??
5 minutes no more no less !
man so close, but he did better than i would have
you can tell that he is just a beginner builder with how slow he is going. any experienced tech's would of had this booted/running within 30 mins.
Omg Calvin was slow af, just disassemble everything, test outside, if it works install in the case and do windows stuff, not hard at all, it was hard to watch this without having multiple anxiety attacks.
How does anyone think that there's any faster way to complete this than to rip everything out, build it up on the desk, reset the bios, reinstall windows. I mean that could be done within like 1:30h for sure and solves every problem they could possibly throw at him.
@DonutMedia did it first but with a car.
I don’t know how many not US and Canada viewers Linus has, but I think he would miss them if they snubbed him as hard as he snubs them with these giveaways that ignore anyone outside US/Canada. Very rude!
That was so close
Cheaters!
Like the look of that Corsair 2000D, shame you can't buy it anywhere, would be a nice upgrade to my Aigo Yogo S1
"Spitroasted GPU"
Not turning on the pc to check what errors the mobo spits out is mistake number 1, 2 and 3.
You did the right thing when you helped linus
slow is smooth, smooth is fast
This is a weird video
He could've just rebuilt it all… He didn't even need to use the case
yeah we good
Great video, however I think it would be easier to simply disassemble the machine and assemble it again.
But hearing how minor the "failures" were, this would be proper way – yet not effective.
I hope you actually gave him all the prizes in secret. Otherwise just cruel.
you should do more of these!
Ngl I was rooting for him the whole way
Suggestions for improvements on this video idea:
– Have the contestant be two contestants, who maybe are friends, who have to work it out. – So it's not all so dependent and one-sided interaction (Linus' interaction to the contestant, and hardly any back).
– (Maybe) consider one tech expert, being mute, only allowed to draw and mimic, to help a newbie contestant. – Only works if it's an entertaining contestant though.
– Instead of only fixing "existing" hardware/software issues, have some broken hardware, the contestant needs to detect that broken hardware and replace it (there will be a replacement part of every single item in the PC, but if they choose the wrong piece of hardware to replace, it will deduct their time).
Linus helping in the last 30 minutes of the timer wasn't necessarily a terrible idea, but I imagine it could have been made a better way. – Maybe alas Who Wants To Be A Millionaire 3 helps.
I really love the reference to the TV show 24. Dang thats good editing guys…
bro is playing PC Building Simulator irl
I would like to see this again, but maybe they could win the computer either way. So we actually can see them trying to fix it until the last half hour. But it's just that their extra goodies get less and less?
Great collab with Mrwhosetheboss
I can only imagine Linus' face of disappointment if I'd been the contestant.
"Here are the things you don't get because you didn't fix the pc within 30 minutes."
'Oh, so nothing I care about lol'
"Here are the things you lost for not completing the task in an hour!"
'Oh, don't care about those either'
He phoned a friend. I'll allow it
1 sec hahaha
That nwas so much fun!!!!!!!! aHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
I want to be a challenger in one of your videos dude. And im only in Burnaby. please pick me some day!
Loved it! More of this please! 😀
