I stick with my 3080, so far everything is still running at the max settings on an ultrawide screen.
Isn't the 4070 the same fps performance as the 3080ti or 3090??? I don't use ray tracing.
Considering it's trading blows with my 3080Ti in 1080p and 1440p and only falls a little behind at 4k. At 1/3 the price I paid for my 3080Ti, yeah, I'd say it's worth it! Oh and it does that using a lot less power.
A 4060 pretending to be a 4070 sporting an 80 series price tag. No thanks Nvidia. Switched to AMD last gen for the first time and will stick with them until these clowns get humbled.
O!Technology did an analyses of popular 4070 cards and this Gigabyte card has the worst heatsink. The MSI VENTUS is also terrible. The best RTX 4070 cards in order: Asus TUF > MSI X TRIO > PNY XLR8 Verto > ASUS Dual. The ASUS Dual is the best pick if you want a 2-fan design. Asus TUF has the most powerphases for overclocking. The MSI X TRIO is the quietest and the PNY XLR8 is for those who want it all, including RGB. Avoid the Gigabyte WINDFORCE AND MSI VENTUS cards.

What a genuinely shitty overpriced card. Rtx 4050 more like that should be £250. You’d be better off just getting a 3070ti for cheap. The only 40 series card that’s ‘worth’ buying is the 4090. Just be prepared to remortgage your house to get one. I’m gonna drag this 3090 out until that old cunt at nvidia dies and hopefully ushers in a new era of reasonably priced gpu’s
This is good timing because I'm looking to finally pull the trigger and change my 1070. Its either this or something like a 6950xt

VRAM clock overclocking is most benefitial just overclock ram about 400-1000 room, and core clock about 150-200 and you will get most of the overclocking guys.

From the USA, but I think this would be a lot better card at 450-500. I wouldn’t personally mind picking up one of these if they went on a sale but it seems to me a 6800xt or better might be a good long term value vs a 4070.
the oc section i cant believe how bad it was. you never ocd the memory clocks only the core you missed out on a lot of performance potentially. from one brit to another instead of trying to be over eccentric maybe focus on the review at hand

I will say 12gb vram is not enough for some titles to this day and might get worse with time. However I love my 4070ti. It plays any game ultra settings 1440p for the moment at least. 20% slower than the 4080 but is a lot cheaper.

This is an excellently-timed video for me as I'm looking at possibly going into the 40 series with this card.

Rx 6800xt > 4070
I actually got the zotac rtx 4070 OC version for $668 haven't put it in yet. But looks like a good GPU for that has a low ppwer draw. I would honestly say that high vram is good like the ones from AMD, but really its all about personal preference at this point and would also depend on the rig you'll be running as well. As for me i"m running a R7 5700X 32gb ddr4 ram and a 650w PSU for that power sweet spot. That should get me through the day
Hey centric I don’t no if you take ideas but if you could can u do a video on buying second hand gpu’s starting from 3070ti buy like 5 cards and test them to show if buying second hand is a big risk. It will be expensive 4 you so I understand if u don’t thx bro

Should u go 7800x3d 7900xtx 1080 240hz that I have rn or down grade to 7800x3d 7900xt istead and get 1440p 240hz or should I just keep 7900xtx. Idk how much 7900xtx nad 7900xt different in 1440p high frame game.
Marcus, can you do in future tests HIGH settings, because a lot of people would use HIGH to get that extra frames and not lose a lot of graphic quality
If it had more RAM I would buy it, however I don't think this will age well, and with AMD improving software more and more over time I went for 7900XTX in the end.

yeah okay Gigabyte… WTF is the point of allowing a 48% increase on the power limit if you aren't going to allow the user Core Voltage control?! Literally pointless, meanwhile my Zotac RTX 4070 Ti AMP EXTREME AIRO allows me to up the voltage 100% and yet the power limit on it only goes to 128%… Makes a lot of sense Gigabyte lol.
Managed to hit +165 on the Core and +1100 on the memory with 50% core voltage increase, didn't really play with it though and got a decent performance uplift so I just left it as is.
