I worked as a software engineer at Fanatics a few years back, I hated every minute of it. They used to be focussed on quality products, but we could all see that they were shifting to quantity over quality rapidly.

I genuinely don't get why anyone would want to pay more for an item just to put a logo on it. Maybe that's the minimalist in me. I was surprised that branded merch like this even sells

I have a feeling on what Fanatics is as a company. It reminds me of other similar companies that umbrella certain aspects of something so you now have to buy something "legitimate" and "authorized" and you as a consumer would have to go up against in court because of licensing. Essentially think of Fanatics as another Pearson, Sodexo, Ticketmaster, etc. All giant companies with the intention of "saving a company money" by offering the bare minimum thats a "recognized" form.
Why do they have a switch controller in all the videos now? Do they use it to advance the teleprompter?
Fanatics is terrible, I mean their main job is making jerseys and every single one I have gotten from them has been defective in one way or another.

I mean I don't need a windvayne to know which way the wind blows with this kind of stuff. Fanatics just gets the license for the logos from the Sports "Companies"(because that is what they are) and then gets an intern to look through Alibaba for manufacturing sources, contacts them negotiates a deal on cheap chinese made products and gets them to sticker the logos on already merch made products and ships them to be warehoused and sold. Honestly most of this stuff is a 10,000% markup on the original product. The problem is it was all cheap garbage to begin with. You know I hate Apple but I will give them a bit of credit here, they do the same thing but slightly better and atleast try by wrapping the cheaply made garbage in a pretty package of sorts that looks good…that is as much praise as I will give that garbage company.
