  1. I may be stating the obvious but this is a better buy than the other AMD APU handhelds from smaller OEMs like Ayaneo, Onexplayer, GPD, etc. The other smaller OEM's handhelds are OK, don't get me wrong, but I have seen complaints from buyers about their defective units- it IS very cumbersome to have your defective units replaced or repaired as you need to ship them back overseas. I think with ASUS, since they are a global OEM with great distribution network and service centers, replacing or servicing your Ally will be much better. Same logic applies to Asus' other products.

  2. Multi Billion Dollar company -> Design looks like a $60 AliExpress gadget. Every single time.

  3. It's a bummer that they dont have an Intel variant with thunderbolt 4 as an option as Asus's XG mobile is way too expensive, than simply buying an external GPU

  4. Deal breaker for me off they use glue to seal the device and don't provide spare parts, easy to find and at a reasonable price. I expect to be able to maintain this for years, it would maintain value of the device.

  5. So glad i didnt buy a SD yet this blows it out of the water

  6. I think when they were saying it will most likely be less expensive than some of the rumors they were talking about the rumors that it will be over 1k$, I think saying it will be less than 6-700$ is a pretty big leap

  7. The ROG Ally seems WAY better than the Deck. Can't wait.

  8. Every company wants to make their own handheld these days 😅
Back in 2012 companies used to think portable gaming is dead because of mobile

  9. Waiting from Playstation and Nintendo handheld response

  10. They talking about Steam deck but they forgot Aya neo and GPD win

  11. Looks like what Playstation should have done with their upcoming handheld.

  12. Rip steam deck

  13. i hope it have good battery life and fast charging technology

  14. Looking forward to this one.. the only thing i am concerned is the possible price of this one

  15. i feel like the upcoming aya neo 2s will be better than this

  16. I'm beyond pumped for this, but my only concern is that if it's a big hit and fixes all that the Steam Deck got wrong, Valve might just say "f**k it" and slow down support on the Steam Deck and devs won't bother to try making their games compatible with it.

  17. The Steam Deck is important because it pushes Linux gaming forward. I'll keep giving my money to Valve because of that.

  18. Honestly even if this nuclear device is priced at 800+ I'm buying it Asus has never failed me and this handheld looks great very advanced compared to other portable gaming devices

  19. "Steam OS which is Valve's PROPRIETARY Operating System". I stopped watching there. What a moron.

  20. I hope starfield and elder scrolls 6 can run smoothly and some triple AAA games!

  21. I like the eGPU feature.. everything else meh. Steam deck only weighs 669grams. Don't care for Windows for gaming. Without proton, don't think it will work well.

  22. This Asus is a Gamechanger! This will change gaming from a fundamental level….

  23. Dpad doesn't look good.

  24. Think I'll wait for a version that have a TouchPad.

  25. Why did Asus make it look so cheap

Software and controls support for games, price and battery life will be the three factors that determine if this device is a success. Any three of them is bad then its an absolute avoid.

  26. The steam deck screen is fine 800p for a handheld is perfect.

  27. The Ally is a steam deck killer 👌 cant wait to get it. I think it will be competitively priced. Think all the people complaining are just gutted they have a steam deck now and cant afford to upgrade 🤣

  28. Ultimately it comes down to software which makes such device perfect, steam with official launch of dual boot and handheld windows os 11 very soon will be unbeatable. The affordability and fact that steam has own app store where downloads for deck are going to be smaller by 10 times by fall this year. Cherry on top are touch pads

  29. 40 wh battery not even an hour on windows and a freaking top huge black bar? so ugly
