I do have the 7800X3D around 2 weeks now, amazed with the performance already BUT I see temps around 45-50 even in idle, and 55-60 inside the games. I have Corsair H150i Elite 360mm AiO and 5 intake 4 exhaust total of 9 fans, just repasted the cooler but only 2-3 degrees dropped. What might be the reason to run this hot? Is this the case for everyone? Thanks guys.

7800X3D don't care as much as 7700X abou RAM latency, so you can easily save £40-80 just on cheaper RAM.
Been looking at upgrading to 7800x3d from my Am4 platform with 5800x3d but at 4k theres no noticeable difference when using my 4080 so will wait for the next gen x3d chips 👍👍

You need to rerun your test with memory at it's out of the Box speed. Otherwise you might fry your chip

is 8 cores enough to have my stream displaying on a 1080p monitor? i have a 5600x and streamlabs says that the cpu is causing the stream to have alot of stuttering. so i just been streaming on a single monitor and look at my stream from my phone.
7700x is cheap 7800x3d is cheaper for 1080p if u calculate corerctly but if u game at 4k better 7700x And why to have 120 hz monitor it is better to have higher refresh rate .
Shouldn't you be doing cpu benchmarks at 1080p to remove gpu bottlenecks? when you test at 4k the gpu is doing most of the work here and DLSS is lowering the resolution too…….

Looking at setting up 2 bios profiles …. 1x 3D-Cache die active only for gaming and 1x both CCDs active for production work.

It is a shame because CPU's like these are really good. Just too darn expensive.
I am sticking with 5800X3D CPU. For now. AM4 is still OK.
I feel that budget PC builders perhaps need to settle on being "old tech, but stable tech" more than "leading edge tech, but f'ing expensive tech which will be out of date in 12 months and was a total money-dump" tech. Being a cheap-skate PC person is to be a practical PC person. If you can pish it away and not worry, well, good for you.
