They usually don’t talk about existing apps, but I hope they’ll mention updates of Final Cut Pro both for the Mac and the new release for the iPad. Both these products need expanded machine learning/ai to really move forward quickly. Without knowing a thing, I think they hope content creators will build stuff for the new ar/vr thing, and they’ll need solid editing software to do so. The same thing is probably true of their music apps, but I’m not a musician or music produce, so what do I know?
Bridget is so cool that even this all hype and no actual news type of video is welcome.

Apple doesn’t need to make their own Apple VR headset. They could release software to use Meta, Valve, or other brand headset. It’s a win win for Apple. No risk for failure of a niche of a niche device. Let Zucky take all that risk 😂

I hope Apple can pull off the hardware. Between Nreal (now Xreal) Air and GPD Win Max 2 running Win11 with macOS as a guest (slow I should mention), the majority of my portable compute needs are met. While I used to loathe Windows, finally each OS is equal for my use cases. Microsoft Build was an acceptable event mostly about AI and Windows as just one platform choice. Apple OS’s as well just another platform. It’s really cool to see them blended with Parallels on the Mac. Wish the same for PCs that don’t need to be Hackintosh’d to run my Apple apps of choice.

At point will Apple let their watch be a solo device sans an iPhone? That’s the dream for me—just the watch.
This is why I believe Apple is making the novel Neuromancer into a tv show on Apple TV—it will be an opportunity for product placement of their VR/AR headset.

AR would be more useful than VR. I also want the NOTCH to go away. Bring back a biometric thumb reader. Sideloading apps will keep me from having one foot still in Android world.

buy a product on its first generation is not usually a good idea. They are overpriced and not perfected in terms of software and hardware. You are paying to be a “beta tester” 😅 the first iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, Apple Pencil… all great ideas, but needed more updates.

I really hope to see an update to the WatchOS interface. It’s due. VR would be cool, but I’m more excited about the possibility of AR glasses that resemble regular frames, not a headset device.
