Comments

  1. Shouldn't a microwave oven isolate properly?

  2. I love this kind of video. We get a look behind the scenes to the lab, we'll get way better content and information in the future thanks to this, aaaand we learn a lot of things. It's amazing, everybody wins

  3. We need a A.S.s on a shirt…..please

  4. This was a wild video

  5. did i miss the part that explained what this is for?

  6. As a mechanical engineer who has worked on RF equipment for years, this stuff is fricken witchcraft. The more you learn about RF the crazier it gets. Absolutely amazing that anyone ever figured it out and it works so reliably. Glad to see the general tech-public finds it so interesting too.

  7. Thanks for the fine print editor

  8. My samsung is so bad i have no signal lol

  9. Why is the amogus dancing

  10. I've been involved with the electrical installation for MRI machine rooms, and there's a lot of similarities to this, since an MRI is magnetic imaging. It was pretty cool work to do, very detailed and careful.

  11. Have some fun chilling and gaming this weekend, editor!

  12. Man this is so cool to see linus consistently following through like this. Keep it up!

  13. Um so who else wants to see them create a tiny room just to melt the panels with radio waves?

  14. This is just aliens

  15. Can you setup the panels from your first attempt and try to put some high powered equipment in it? It would be fun to watch it melt/burn for no visible reason

  16. Sure !

  17. Awesome content!

  18. this is so freaking awesome

  19. I bet Raymond EMC owner was sweating watching Linus carry the spectrum analyser around lmao

  20. Wait wait wait wait…I have been led to believe high frequency signals are more easily blocked by obstacles in their way. Indeed, I dealt with this some years ago when I got a robot vacuum and it only worked on 2.4Ghz and my new, fancy Google Mesh router would not let me select the signal. I contacted Google tech support and the answer was to walk the robot down the hall till the 5Ghz signal dropped out but the 2.4Ghz signal was still there. And that actually worked.

But now you tell me the high frequency stuff is what gets through? I do not doubt you are correct in what you said but I feel some detail is missing.

  21. hope you had a great weekend gaming editor

  22. I wish I had this video when I was trying to teach construction trades about building MRI rooms.

  23. Real tech youtuber

  24. Reminds me of a walk in fridge/freezer.

  25. I sure hope your electrician is Brian.

  26. Put a microwave next to a wifi router

  27. That Kanye West comment was unexpected. Jeeze.

  28. A good example for something similar to the light in the chamber, is the door on a microwave – it's made of lots of holes in a similar fashion, designed to block the ~2.4 ghz frequency of the microwaves generated, but allowing you to be able to still see through 🙂

  29. Why'd it have to be LMG?
    Ya know what? fuggit.

Any and all inroads into 'more people' being aware of EM/RF, etc. is a good thing.

  30. Hello editor.

  31. Which app he was using?

  32. I am worried LTT is growing too fast, spreading too thin. I would prefer a narrower focus, in depth tests versus the shallow Consumer Reports, including the kitchen sink style reviews. Please don't lose focus.

  33. Argh, I can't wait for what's in-store for labs. Well done everyone

  34. @Ichigo Kurosaki:could I have a razer kishi android gaming controller? 🥺

  35. Hope you had a chill weekend, editor!

  36. Completamente nada.

Really enjoyed this, linus seems genuinely interested in what he's talking about.

  37. Things gonna get backed into by a forklift, or a pallet is gonna get dropped into it. Than the results will be skewed either way. Maybe some pollards around it ever 3 feet.

  38. So are you going to be renting this out as a "SCIF" for people to use to review classified documents and hold highly sensitive communications that must not be revealed?

  39. that door looks like the same door on a HEMP building in the military

  40. I don't want to live in a tent for my whole life
    #edit

  41. Wow i don't know you can buy this

  42. let the 5g scardycats have it as a bed room

  43. How can I buy some of that craptastic foam? I have a generator shen that needs silencing.

  44. Good Edit, Editor. Someone does read the fine print on the A. S. S. manuals.

  45. This is going to be trending at r/ preppers

  46. Are you competing with Underwriters Laboratories? 🙂

  47. 1:05 yep… I totally learned this in science class

  48. The genius behind this design is very admirable.
