  1. I wasn't aware of this video before Linus mentioned of it's existence in the wan show.
Been a long time subber but for some reason didn't see this one. So lets give it a go

  2. I would probably watch it all if it was Linus

  3. I had no idea what Quatum Dot really was or why it mattered before, throwing it up to just more Samsung marketing jiberish. Thank you James for this super clear and understandable deep dive! The tech behind it is super cool, I see now why it's such a huge leap in display tech.

  4. DOPE VIDEO, Thank you for getting nerdy for me.

  5. Saw this mentioned on WAN show. I don't know how I missed this, since I'm subscribed and watch pretty much every video, and I like James as a presenter.

Maybe it's because it came out before all the QD-OLED hype of 2022 (and it doesn't have QA-OLED in the title, maybe that matters), I don't know, but I was never even recommended this video.

  6. Coming here from WAN Show

  7. Just here from the WAN show. Really a GREAT video!!! But now I have to wait even longer to buy a new TV I can afford

  8. great video

  9. Truly packed and informative video.

  10. They should innovate something to deal with that industrial noise pollution.

  11. I'd of expected LTT to be smart enough to filter out that super high pitch annoying-af constraint frequency throughout half this vid that made it basically unwatchable. Unimpressed, guys.

  12. Words just stopped making any kind of sense halfway through this.

  13. I like the freedom in size and form factor QD tech offers.

  14. 3:08 Did they add a quantum tunnel for electron injection ? where you can simply have one led pixel filled
with all three substances, which can then be fed one current at a level which then subsequently only goes
into one of the substances, and thus allow for it to emit light ? This would obviate for separate leds,
and have one that emits all possible lights full RGB ?
I mean it may be hard, but knowing when electrons go in at a specific voltage while barring the rest,
    would be neat.
You could define it as a molecular transistor that will accept electrons only when between two voltages.
Then, with three separate sets, let's say 0.1-0.2 V is red, 0.3-0.4 V is green, and 0.5-0.6V is blue.
Since they need to be charged more for the blue, it would make sense to use the higher voltage
for the blue, since that would increase the power input.
The hard thing would be to get the overvoltage barred, which would then involve a second transistor
that if switched on (overvoltage) would bar the feed to the first transistor by a third transistor,
and then ofc to make it all possible in combination with the quantum dots.

  15. It's the Sacred Goo!
    – subterranean Trøgs

  16. mind blowing cool tech.

  17. I wonder how far away QDEL is right now.

  18. This video is literally perfect. I had a passing understanding of this based on learning how day-glow paint and blue-white phosphor led lighting worked. This just perfectly covered this subject.

  19. Why did I miss this video…

  20. We're still on LCD slow down man

    Like regular LCD

  21. Im so Excited 🙂

  22. They cooking meth

  23. What are the energy losses from stepping down blue light to green and red?

  24. Does my Eyes has Quantum Dots?

  25. Best Video in a while!

  26. What is the difference between colour filter and colour conversion?

  27. Could there be water cooling with methyl anthranilate? Asking for a friend
