CORRECTION 1:44 – Apple uses its own blend of Corning's glass for its iPhones.
** Also, according to Corning, they use sandpaper instead of asphalt to test phones because its easy to replace after each drop. A surface like asphalt or sandpaper will become duller after repeated drops. I personally, still prefer drop testing phones on the sidewalk.
Tell me what you think, and thanks so much for watching!
Cannot even survive Under 1m drop. Its more bad than my old Samsung S7 glass was that dropped dozens of times no break!
Note 20 Ultra pro fell 3 ft onto cement and chipped immediately in official samsung rugged case. Victus isn't that impressive at all.
In real life breaks when drops off the arm of a chair…
It still scratches at a level 6, with deeper grooves at a level 7.
All gimmicks/ marketing hype
Snake oil i say.
Even if they could make unbreakable glass they wouldnt since it would kill the case manufacturing buisness
they say this every year. Phones still break the same
It doesn't even contains gorilla 😔
Galaxy note 20 has Gorilla Glass Victus
Transparent aluminum should be mass produced to replace glass.
Plot twist: the ground isn't made of concrete
Everyone says they say the same thing every year. They don't make gorilla glass every year its between 2-3 years.
Doogee already has it they phone ruggespraak durvive 4 story building
Why don't test Samsung note 20 pro???
It's better to test it in real phone
what was that pause at 2:01?
Phone makers need to just stop making phones out of glass. It's a heavy and fragile material that is very fragile, no matter what Corning says they have accomplished. Until they move away from glass on the back, we'll still have huge cases and screen protectors making our phones much larger than they need to be.
Samsung's latest flagship note 20 has gorilla glass victus
😂😂😂😂👉👉👉
Nothing beats the feel of a brand new smartphone in your hand, but you have to protect your investment, so I never used a smartphone for more than a month without protection.
"Twice as scratch resistant"? Mmmh… I bet there will still be scratches at level 6 with deeper grooves at level 7…
Ayt, so Samsung did use it on their notes… Let the breaking begin
Dropping from the top of burj khalifa video coming up.
Why do people dropping phones into the sidewalk? Instead of perfecting the glass tech, maybe we should address this people dropping phones into sidewalk endemic?
It scratches at a level 7 with deeper groves at a level 8
Hehehe, these funny dudes, they used sand paper because It closely matches asphalt? Wtf!!, why not just use asphalt?. That's why it cracks when it comes to the real world. No one, and I repeat, no one drops their phone on sand paper. smh..
Still can't compare to saffaire. Don't know why saffaire is still no where to be found in smartphones except for the old HTC one.
Worlds strongest scratcher "dust particles"
Yeah, I've heard all this before, with each new gorilla glass. -_-
I dont understand why can't we work on strong lightweight metal and use that as back and have edge proterted by metal too. When we have good bumpers then 70-80 % of the time the glass is completely protected. And as for gorilla glass 7 this wil definitly protect the screen from bumps and marks no need for screen protector.but it will not be breakproof.
Scratches at a level 7 with deeper groves at a level 8?
Nonsense….drop your phone and the screen cracks regardless
I had a shatter proof phone and though my screen didn't break the insides sure didn't survive the fall.
Why test on sand paper and not asphalt? 🤔
No, it can’t survive a 2 inch drop. What a joke.
Jerry you are on😉
المهم ضد الخدش
I just want a relationship that’s stronger than this new gorilla glass.
One thing I always recall is when Apple introduced iPhone X, Ellen said “Now you can break both sides!” Whenever anybody says “break phone glass!” I remember her)) Miss Ellen!!
So much blahblahblah! It will break anyway 😒
Just Another comercial!
I don't know why but I feel Like the Gravity Become Twice or Triple when The phone drops from my hand and It always Broke
