Are you a sucker for good laptop IO? Do you need every single port? Well turns out there’s still devices out there with things like optical drives, full sized SD card readers, and VGA, while also having modern comforts like Thunderbolt 4. But…they’re only available in Japan. Why does this market still exist in one place while being completely forgotten everywhere else?

Comments

  1. Fujitsu (Japanese company) Still make laptops with optical drives, but they are not as legacy friendly as this

  2. Thats in jujutsu second season

  3. Always gets me relaxed and then makes me skip the sponsor … ya lil hussy Linus.

  4. they built for reliability and durability

  5. is the disc drive only dvd or also blu-ray? if it was blu-ray it could be very interesting tbh

  6. Best. Segway. Ever.

  7. Worst laptop ever.

  8. How unfortunate that my 2 year old laptop I got since September 2021 doesn't have DVD drive, it's still usable and not really that bad

  9. the G-Wagon of laptops

  10. I've accidentally dropped panasonic PC twice from 2nd floor in the past, and it didn't even scratch the PC. It's extremely robust, and you know it will work where ever you go. It's expensive, but it's worth the investment. My 10 years old computer is still my main PC.

btw, I think many people would say it's "outdated", but in reality, it's just "packed with features", and Japanese love Panasonic PC for that.

  11. the laptop design is like apple UI

  12. very practical design, I'd love to have one.

  13. It is a work horse

  14. my company in japan give these to their employees. it's very good (other than the "Fn" button in the wrong place). my private laptop is also of the same lineup. they are considered very good in japan (and expensive). most business people have them

  15. This is actually a very good summary of western product development faults and mistakes.

  16. thats called classical

  17. Hehe, the good of the old in the new, finally.

    God bless.

  18. Definitely i will go to panasonic

  19. LTT getting friendly with WEF … self preservation i guess

  20. Dongles are such a f**king step backward and I'll never forgive the fruit company for mainstreaming it

  21. i like. this 😀

  22. I kinda like this laptop. It used to be normal but now it's cool today to have many reliable ports and user-end replaceable battery. I want the US keyboard version, though (Thanks to this video, I learned they also sell the replaceable keyboard and it's fairly easy to replace)
