But I know what a Tablet is good for: That Gameloft MLP game for sure. And since it's not exactly well optimized, you need some decent hardware to run it without getting hiccups. Oh, and when you like drawing, have a stylus and a decent software for that that runs on the device, that must be pure gold.

13:45 While we're at it, it's absolutely great for digital comics. I for one can't read printed ones anymore properly since my eyes suck balls, but having them digitally on a tablet with tons more contrast than paper could ever have and the ability to even zoom in on it if needed, is just a life saver for me. And a tablet probably is the most convenient thing to do that with. And besides, of course I do have a keyboard and mouse as well, so it converts into something like a laptop easily and is good enough for regular browsing on the internet and watching the Tube without having to bring a bulky laptop.

Aren't they missing the most obvious use for iPad: workflows that involve Apple pencil? What's even the competition for that? I know neither of them use that workflow, but sometimes they said "Why would anyone even buy an iPad". Apple pencil. Duh!

I don't own any Apple product (to be fair no one does). But I have a mid range table that fills a very valuable niche for me. Yes also pron in bed. But also reading books (not everyone can afford a separate device for every specific purpose) and for magazines effectively (my D&D PDFs in my case). And I don't own a laptop so I use it as my kitchen display – to watch youtube videos – WAN show included or for recipes or what have you.

I think you're too excited about the M1 iPad. There is NO WAY that chip is running full speed. Didn't you, yourself, already determine the Macbook Air is speed limited from temp throttling? This will be worse.

Also, Apple doesn't recycle basically anything of their products. Even if you ignore the extremely idiotic practice of soldering the SSD, RAM, and everything else to the motherboard. The companies in charge of doing the "recycling" for Apple have said themselves just how much of the device is outright shredded just because Apple wants to pretend to be in support of people's privacy and not have to invest in infrastructure where someone might reuse the device instead of buying a brand new or refurb one.

I cut all my videos with LumaFusion on the 11" iPad Pro. It's also my #1 travel companion for watching movies and web browsing on vacation and allows me to backup all my recordings from my camera and drone locally and via Google Photos. The Apple Pencil makes it the perfect device for drawing.
