  1. Gaming NUCs are/were good for lots of niche use cases like the free play PCs at PAX, internet cafes and dan convention demo machines. Not sure there’s enough of them being sold for those uses to justify a product being made.

  2. As far as shipping goes, i actually just wish you would have the option to take orders for a country, say Australia and ship them over here in bulk then have them reshipped in their orders from there. Theres so many things i would like to have, but the shipping is usually 3x the price of the item.

  3. Linus Linus Linus … for someone so involved with computers, to not understand the value of NUCs and going "well they fit everywhere" as reason … dissappointing.

Let me explain why mini PCs are great:
    – no cable mess: hook it on the back of your monitor, use an ultra short HDMI cable, run the other cables down along the monitor stand. Move everything easily as you move your monitor.
    – very little power use (like a laptop) while being easier to upgrade AND you're not stuck with a monitor & keyboard like in a laptop.
    – they're way cheaper than laptops – you can get i7 mini PCs for like €400 (not Intel NUCs of course)
    – but these devices are mainly for offices and here it's so easy to move a mini PC or take it home with you. Offices that have a clean desk policy can have fixed monitors – all you need them is to connect the mini PC and voila, off you go without having to deal with tiny laptop screens and crappy laptop keyboards.

  4. Well, there is going to be a lot more LTT merch in the EU now, that's for sure. Shame I missed it, the shipping costs has been stopping me from getting the screwdriver and many of my friends.

  5. I would LOVE to see proper unbiased genuine testing of some of the major YouTube sponsors out there like Brilliant, CuriosityStream, Dashlane, Dollar Shave Club. Established Titles (although I think they were exposed as a scam), ExpressVPN, Grammarly, Hello Fresh, Honey, Manscaped, Masterworks, Nebula, NordVPN, Raid Shadow Legends, Raycon, Shopify, Skillshare, Squarespace, Surfshark VPN, War Thunder, Incogni and others.

Just don't try and test The Ticket Clinic (a popular sponsor of various car-related YouTube channels), somehow I don't think intentionally breaking the law for a YouTube video is a good idea)

  6. The EU does allot of good when it comes to tech, but man are they horrible when it comes to other stuff

  7. 451 research lol. 451 Fahrenheit braindead dystopia anyone?

  8. …missed it this one time and it's free shipping FML….

  9. About the gaming nuc i am someone who moves my pc alot to my partner in order to game at their house. I own a steamdeck incase im lazy i have something. However having a decent Intel nuc juts strapped on the back of the monitor would be great. So i don't have to move my tower and don't risk breaking it. It's a speciality case indeed but there are plenty of people who want a pc on the back of their monitor.

  10. on the badminton story, it's super cool that you got to play against someone like that, and i totally relate to the "high ceiling" thing – when i was young, like primary school 10-12, i got the chance to go play basketball on a proper stadium during like the halftime or pre-game time. it was ages ago so i don't remember much, but what i do remember is that i struggled to do pretty much anything i would normally be able to do easily. I imagine it's a combination of being young and nervous, plus the bright lights and high ceiling that seriously mess with your perception. (the anime Haikyuu also has a bit about a high ceiling messing with perception so it's definitely a real thing that happens in many sports)

  11. Can someone please explain why the entire chat was covered in balls for half the show

  12. 2:59:19 , you heard it here first, Luke is a supporter of the 8 hour WAN show.

  13. I can almost with absolute certainty aside from perhaps the very high and rare denominations of canadiantire money no one cared to actually take proper care of it and anything low denomination in perfect condition is a fake.

  14. Didn't Linus just make a comment in the last couple weeks about how few viewers are going to recognize where "same bad time, same bad channel" came from?

Also, the TV series was in thr '60s not the '70s.

Butit did keep getting regular airings in syndication until at least the '90s when i watched it.

Also, my god, how did a show like that get that cast? The list of actors who played the villains is absurd for a ridiculous show like that.

  15. conglomerates tend to be ugly in deed.

But Kaufland and LIDL are grocery discounters. And sadly as it is, I am in that group of people that is kinda dependent on them. Low grocery prices are, what keeps Germany afloat. Sure. It is uncomfortable. and it surely is systematic. But I also don't know a better way in combination with our social security system.

  16. 2:32:30 – Linust Fart Tips.

  17. 2:22:10 Yeah… It's technically NOT working.
The users can't handle the weird behavior and are complaining about the software.
So, technically, it's not working, and needs to be fixed/tested.

  18. I set up a modified fanless Intel Nuc using roon core for my dads streaming setup. Works pretty good for that, energy efficient, does not look ugly, silent. Ticked basically every box.

  19. I think Linus describing tennis scoring is the first time I've literally said "What? That's not how it works!" out loud while watching WAN show lol

  20. This free shipping deal might turn profitable in the long run. Because it gets the product out there. Lets say your colleague orders the backpack or the screwdriver and you get to handle it. If the product is good enough you might even decide it to be worth it even with the high shipping costs. I would know, I bought specialty gloves from Canada to Europe. 2 Pairs of gloves cost me 150€ with shipping and tax but they are so good that I'm considering ordering bulk just to have a lifetime supply and pay shipping once.

  21. Those iPhone ratings and customer satisfaction crap, that's the same stuff that every survey done is tally. It's always made up so whoever is paying for the survey gets the best marks possible. Basically you pay the companies to make the survey and cater it toward the outcome that you wanted to see. They will take data for this with like iPhone users that have had five iPhones in a row or something like that. And so that way they can almost guarantee that everyone they survey with having that many iPhones in a row will be satisfied and give you a perfect score or near perfect. So it's literally just catered or whoever pays for the survey

  22. Sucks that Skyblivion got hacked, but maybe now something will get released. The KOTOR2 restored content mod was in dev limbo forever until it leaked and independent modders from all over put the work in to complete it.

  23. I want EVGA to make an AMD motherboard so badly but they don't. I also wouldn't mind if EVGA went Intel Battlemage or ATI/Radeon or both. Id go with the AMD EVGA GPU obviously and their motherboard with my AMD CPU too. Also EVGA on motherboards says limit 2 per house hold for their current motherboards listed so.

  24. do another linux challenge

  25. 1:45:40 Nokia 3210
Replaceable batteries without tools, sturdy phone

  26. I listen to random WAN show every night in background lol or now put live 24/7 channel on lol 😅

  27. The question at 3:45:50 could have been an interesting discussion. LTT Cloud when? haha
