I can't recommend Luke tries Pokemon Go again. I used to be a pretty heavy player and didn't even mind throwing money at occasional event tickets or store items.
But the game started subtly changing to push the in-app purchases harder, and it was getting less and less fun to play. Haven't opened that thing in months and I'm much happier for it.

You want an impressive graphical leap? Look at the difference between ArmA 3 and ArmA Reforger. Where they updated the lighting system to make dense forest on sunny days absolutely terrifying. Or if you want impressive graphical downgrades for the sake of modern graphics look at 2.5D source ports with bilinear texture filtering. My DOOM looks like Curry!
