  1. This video was just scratching the surface of what to look for when getting started! If you have any questions feel free to ask them, or if you’re a smart home expert give your best advice below. 👏 And thanks so much for watching.

  2. This isn’t a basic video. I have no idea how all these work. Too much info on features and not on basics.

  3. I have a google smart home. lights, camera's plugs all work great, except a very techie neighbor has figured out the system, turns my lights off when he wants, turns my cameras off etc. I have no idea how to fix this. I am on my second modem, changed my passwords, nothing seems to matter. Help

  4. You are doing a pretty nice job. Please can you do a video on how to set up a smart home without internet connection. If you've already do such videos, can you help me locate them?

    Time for an update #2023

  5. What light strip is that in the corner of the room(Name/Brand)? And how do you use it as a progress bar? @ 5:20

  6. Hi Sir I have this question in my mind, Can I access my smart lights that connect on wifi m if I am not at home and connected to a different wifi network maybe 50miles away?

  7. One thing I highly recommend is never ever getting a thermostat that is Wi-Fi enabled. California has recently been locking people out of their thermostats due to power grid strain

  8. I wasn't looking for smart home but only for smart thermostat comparisons and I stumbled on this video and for some reason I did not skip and stuck to the end.
My subconscious opinion would then be you're doing something right.
    PS
I am a technology delivery manager so I'm kind of a techie person. I thought that should be mentioned.

  9. More like starting and growing a little spy lab and most likely finding ways to do nefarious perverted ass bs with it

  10. I hope one of the videos shows the priority list of what you would get in what order if you were on a budget.

  11. LOL Alexa is funny! 7:03

  12. I have a problem here in São Paulo Brazil, the energy company doesn't provide a neutral. It's a much, much smaller products available in market.

  13. I'm surprised Globe Smart Home isn't in the list, I actually have couples of those things installed and linked with my Google Home.

  14. 7:07 BEST PART OF THE WHOLE VIDEO…lmao. Great video, helped me look into a few options I was not aware of as well as rule out options.

  15. Thanks for taking the time out to try all these funky "futuristic" gadgets in every way possible and sharing them with us. Very much appreciated your efforts.

  16. So much amazing info!

  17. Awesome video!! Exactly what I was looking for !!! Every piece was helpful for sure!!
subscribed and will definitely be back for more lol

  18. I just rolled my own media players to give ha a voice… I used raspberry pi's… (OLD MODEL B ONES🤪)… Whst's the best way to broadcast to them both??? Should I group them, or use parallel??? They don't in this case need perfect sync…

  19. Always “ultimate”….

  20. More of a 'what to buy' than Getting Started, with zero mention of privacy concerns and only a passing mention of 'cloud' requirement issues.

  21. Smart devices look like a miserable chore.

  22. Reed help.

  23. A wonderful intro to smart homes. Thank you.

  24. Ik this is an old video but can you run a hub with Amazon alexia or Google home ? As it helps with connection to WiFi just thought ide ask 👍👍
