For this kind of PC, I'd probably choose an SSD with a better endurance.

  3. I love how Tim clearly shows the difference between a professional engineer and whatever the fuck Alex is. Its been sorely needed on this channel for years, as Aoex is just embarrassing!

  4. They're going to have to rename the Canadarm 3 because a real Canadarm 3 is being built for the Gateway missions. Big fan of the name though. 🤣

  5. Crazy idea and I know I am not the first but Linus and team should try to get a blade server running outside of the chassis if you can get this working I believe it will be extremely useful for the home lab community a small but powerful server

  6. Imagine if I had one

  7. All seems so pointless…total wase of resources and energy…

  8. fun fact, the Astrera LED tubes are RGBMA, M is for mint colour LED so it can produce Pascal colours, A is Amber LED

  9. Saudi Prince will order the same, but machined in solid gold

    it equilibrates ❤

  10. I AM NOT IN ACCOUNTING Says every innovator ever.

  11. "Hey Linus… your hair is sticking up" guys help him out.

  12. another desk!

  13. The closed captioning is kinda borked at the start of the video

  14. DIY Perks watching and shaking his head

  15. Linus was so annoying in this video!

  16. CanadArm? lolNice Pun

  17. i am glad to see that, Andy, from Parks & Rec is doing fine

  18. Id love to see a video of a home cloud setup designed to replace monthy fees and big brands.

Built on a small server rack thats quiet and neat enough to go next to a desk or in a small closet.

    I was thinking something like
Opnsense, unraid "workstation", vmware esxi, network switch, jbod, cameras, Access points. and a ups for proper shutdowns.

Designed to self host things like
Email server, password manager, cloud storage, google docs, plex, music and a amazon alexa replacement ect ect.

Using security features like a gigabit vpn though opnsense, Fully encrypted drives, dns servers and cloudflare 0 trust.

  19. 1:21 well black boxes have always been orange

  20. 24:08 😁 MINECRAFT MINECRAFT MINECRAFT! 😂
    Wooo

  21. Hahaha love the Donut Media reference at 1:00. #HRSPRS

  22. forza and hitman on the pc and not only minecraft

  23. Nice! $100.000 to break and collect dirt blocks. Meanwhile …below the equator….

  24. I love that Tim gets to be in front of the camera again after talking about the specifics of how he pours water onto his fancy coffee filters. makes me very happy

  25. Looks insanely awesome and no doubt a fair bit of time went into designing this project, but I do feel like this could have been accomplished for significantly cheaper by NOT using massive Al billets. They could probably have saved significant material and machining costs by replacing certain pieces with sheet/plate aluminium and smaller machined billet sections, then tig welded sections together. Even the welds could be machined back if you were concerned by the aesthetics, as this isn't exactly a mission critical component with high structural loading.
Also, you may want to apply some sort of transparent film coating (or use polymer washers) to the stainless bolts, or you will probably end up with some galvanic corrosion and/or discoloration between the aluminium and stainless components.

PS. if anyone reading this ever installs a solar array on the roof of their house, I highly suggest you apply an anti-seize to the bolts (usually stainless) which are in the hold-down clamps… otherwise a few years (eg. 5+) you'll likely find you won't be able to undo the bolts (ie. shear off the heads, or round out the internal profile) if you need to remove panels for access to your roof space! Courtesy of galvanic corrosion…

  26. imagine paying 100k to a renowned pc builder for an absolutely insane ""PC"" that will last you years to come just to get a 5k pc with a 95k case LMFAO id be pissed…

  27. Woah woah woah are you building that on a sweatshirt good way to destroy a bunch of components glad you didn't build me a 100k pc

  28. That pc is never going close to its limits

  29. You can tell the build is going smoothly because everyone is joking around half the time, and they're all smiling. To be fair, I'd be doing the same to work on such a gorgeous machine…

  30. Gonna rewatch the first one(showcase) after this.
7:07 Linus' back and groin was never the same after that day. 😂

  31. What is up with the flex seal hat. Is that a ad placement. I can't
Imagine the editors would let that slip past them

  32. AND THATS WHY I HAVE 3 KIDS ………

  33. Started watching Linus over six years ago. Needless to say, it's been an adventure! I only wish I had the time to watch all the LTT videos as they came out.

Being 21 now, a big portion of my hobby time had to be sacrificed to fitness. Hey, maybe one day I'll get to catch up!

  34. What a huge waste of money. If someone has that much disposable income they should do something actually useful with it like helping people in need.

  35. Why does the Linus logo randomly say live under it and highlighted red, but not playing any live feeds. But when you guys are playing a live feed, it is just the regular LTT logo without the live bezel.
