Ha! Asus rep refused to give me support for a bricked router due to a automatic firmware update that didn't complete, asking me to send a copy of logs, downloaded settings (which includes vpn settings and all the connection passwords), IP and login password to my router before they can consider registering my support request. They even refused to escalate my complaint that I cannot provide the information they request. I had to take the router personally to their repair center and argue with the person behind the counter for an hour to get someone come out and talk to me and accept my router for repair!
In another case I dropped cpu inside socket and bent some pins, it was a waste to throw the motherboard away knowing it is not covered with warranty, but I called and emailed support admitting that I bent cpu pins and is it possible to pay for repair. In email the told me that someone will come to my place next day to replace bent pins and I will need to give them address. on the call the person told me they will ship replacement pins in 7 working days, and I was like, what?!!!!!
You gave them 3 stars, seriously? Their crap support doesn't worth 1 star either!
For the Ugreen one, i highly believe that the customer service should be provided by the Ugreen China (aka 綠聯）, they should be the same team as i saw the response are most likely using the same response from China , Normally the Chinese customer most likely find the customer service for a small amount of refund because of the product problem,even though the product most likely are fine or no damage at all.
I'm concerned by how much slack they give to ASUS. It's almost like they're afraid of losing partnership. Something smells fishy.
In the spirit of sponsor transparency and such that this video is in, i should tell you that the various pranks and shittalking that dbrand has made me decide to never use them for anything. i know theyre "cool and edgy" but seriously, its not for me. Even their products that are pretty good idea (like the PS5 plates and the killswitch) i just think if this is how they want to promote and put their best foot forward, im not going to interact with it

A little to unfair with Jackery there. Not 4.5, that's a clear 5 star if they would have just replied faster.
Is anyone else kinda annoyed that the editor is removing stars when Linus says he's gotta "remove a star?" My interpretation of him saying that he's "gotta dock a star" is that it's his reasoning for the rating as he said it a moment ago, otherwise he would have given it MORE stars. I.E. for UGreen: He would have given it a 4 and a half stars if not for the slower response times, so he gave it 3 and half instead. Does this make sense or am I crazy?
I have to say it, Samsung has got to be the worst. I really like their products but I will no longer get Samsung products because of their support.
Well, I kinda worry now, that a lot of ppl will try to ask for free stuff and ,,discounts'' by using same methods… I would think again of sponsoring You Linus 😛 xD
Ugreen makes low quality products and provides no support for them once they break.

Ive had similar experiance with dbrand way before linus went all in on them advertising like latley lol. Told then i got the wrong skin was for a very simiar phone but the wrong one sent a pic and got new skins. The products kinda worthless so its easy for them to just swap or replace unlike say a jackery type of product. So no real reason to be stingey
