New 7000 literally blows your whole computer away. Great improvement!
AMD got me hard
I just wish amd gave the option to run the 6900hx over 80 watts if you wanted to to eek out a little more performance.
To be honest I don't trust in AMD I had a AMD processor and it was piece of shit, it start to work so good and after one year It became the slowest laptop I ever had….
Let amd make a 110w laptop cpu, they'll win that benchmark too
nobody cares about battery life and lower tdp in high performance gaming as connecting to power is mandatory
This video definitely convicted me to buy one! at $29.99 not bad.
Tdp of the 6900hs is actually 35w
5 months later and they are still not on shelves. I wish LTT would stop playing these advertising hype games, especially for ryzen 6000 laptops, months before they are ever available.
I have an i9 in a 2020 Dell XPS. It is fantastic………..for a second. Then it thermal throttles and it is over. Crawling performance just gets more crawling performance. It is like an overheating van climbing a mountain pass. The slower you go the hotter it gets making you stay on hill longer and just get hotter. It is a nightmare exporting images in Lightroom and rendering video out of premiere. I regularly see 1.2ghz while exporting out of LR. It is a joke. My old i7 dell precision stomps the i9 into the ground for these tasks. So I am super curious about the new AMD stuff for keeping cool in a laptop and keeping that clock speed up for longer before heat takes over and ends all gains. For laptops this heat thing is the #1 thing content creators need to consider. Because performance on paper is not exporting 1000images.
well shit i just got a thinkpad with an intel i7 1165 cpu
I ordered new zenbook 13 oled Amd model to test the efficiency of new 6000 series cpu
intel is not making a cumback . sorry comeback
They use APUs in Dedicated Gaming Handhelds nowadays. And you still feel Igpus are not good enough?
E L E V E N H O U R S BATTERY?????!!!!!!
Imagine playing on budget gaming laptops with this on the future (it's like a budget discreet graphics card!)
imagine what the 6980HX would do
love how there is 2 mins of ads in 8 min video
amd ryzen awsomee
I'd buy AMD, but they don't have Thunderbolt… I'd much rather buy a 14" MacBook Pro but it doesn't run Windows… So Intel it is 🙁

Thanks to a fruit company for setting a high bar with m1
Great overview! First time seeing you on YouTube the I tried to subscribing not realising it was LTT 😂
Dang, Lisa did it again
The Intel system on here is huge. Might as well have a desktop chip in it.
AMD systems are going to sell like crazy.
They are going to have insane battery life on their U series processors. Already was awesome on the 5000 series.
Using the igpu on my g14 drains the battery about as fast as the 6700s while playing games.
U series release date?
Do you think Ryzen 7 6800U or Ryzen 5 6600U will have better performance and battery against the Intel 12th Gen 15W i7 1255U or i5 1245U? I couldn't find any comparison between those. It will be nice to see which one will be better in terms of performance, and battery life for newer ultralight laptops in the near future.
no matter how much well intel does or will do in the future I WILL USE AMD FOR LIFE.
So you're saying any efficiency claim Intel or AMD make, we should dismiss it as a typical marginal improvement?
Why do they keep releasing trash? I want something in the same league as the M1, but on a ThinkPad.
Intel is like the guy who has a big penis but only lasts 2 mins before ejaculation.
AMD is the guy with an average sized penis but can last for 2 hours before ejaculation.
Blue fan-boys will be pissed..TSMC is rolling
ELEVEN HOURS? Given Apple’s stance on repairs and upgrades maybe I could start looking towards AMD for an all-rounder laptop…
Hey you can change the CPU Kerns in Msconfig and off Nvidia then you have tthe same result from 11 Hours
sponsor me too, ryzn
As long as it doesn't heat up like Vesuvius & lasts like Messi's career, it's good enough for me.
AMD for life..:)
Круто👍💪
This just means that in gaming AMD is better? I mean, if the CPU can do almost the same workload with less heat, then the GPU can draw much more energy while dissipating the same amount of heat…
As you said, most of the users want a large battery backup laptop and sometimes very often AAA titles that too in 60fps because we are not pro!!
So I think AMD 6000 series is great here.
What say?
i´m very disappointed by the big little version of Intel. I hoped that it would go into the direction where Apple and the other ARM manufacturers went. To offer basic performance on very low energy cost for most everyday tasks so that you can have amazing battery life on web browsing and stuff like that. But it somehow seems totally the opposite. The AMD chips are way more efficient in the low TDP area although they are only having performance cores. The first battery life results from anandtech seem to proof that too. Im my opinion VERY disappointing. I hoped to get huge improvement in that area. Alder Lake seems to offer nearly none improvement in battery life at all.
reeeeeeeally hoping Ryzen laptops are in stock in a more stable way this year. I don't need a gaming laptop, but I want that batter life in a cheaper machine … droool
Pls compare this to M1 pro or max! Thanks
I'm salivating
Man you really dont know what tdp means
Me loves battery
AMD 6nm efficiency. Good comparison review and report. 👍
I'm a otr truck driver for 48 states… I use a desktop replacement 😀
This just feels like linus tech tips has lost its integrity it is clear here that intel is the superior cpu
Imagine the 6950hx
1:33 * The Ryzen HS chips are actually 35W not 45W. The latter are the beefier "H" & "HX" models.
