i dont trust linus with power tools for some reason
Freaking 17 Sonus units ?. Crazy!. Cabling mess no matter how well the cables are managed.
When linus’s kid says: daddy i want to be an fairy, he will probably say: Daddy’s allready a fairy, and when she will want to become a fairy too he will give her screwdriver and say: LEARN
I gave up with Sonos. Just get a few WiiMs. So much better.
Every time Linus segues into a Delete Me sponsor, it sounds like he regretted that segue.
Linus installs new home speakers – entire nation of Canada power demand surges.
I loved the Pikachu face Linus xDD
More proof Linus has NO IDEA what he is doing. Why are people watching this crap? Why have the right tools, see them, then just disregard them anyway!? For example the banana plugs for the speaker lines; he says he didn’t do them because he didn’t want to do 72 cables, but then they went and manually attached them 72 times to the Sonos amps anyway. They saved LITERALLY no time today and cost a bunch if they have to move them later. Same with the shorter power cables; he hadn’t even tidied up the long ones when he discovered the ones Dan bought, but then ignored them and spent a bunch of time managing the excess cable anyway.
I get being lazy, I do it all the time. But to take a “shortcut” that actually costs you time in the long run is just moronic.
Thumbnails kinda wonk ngl
I have to admit that this is ridiculous. 110w everywhere? Anyone that has had even a 30w guitar amp in a house knows that it is way too much for the entire house. I… I just don't get it.
Why has it taken so long for you to do cable management?
I have a solution. Plug computer into my 1000w amplifier, and rock the neighbors. I can hear it in every part of the house and the outside 🙂
I feel like if it remained a Nvidia relationship It’ll be an Orin NX variant. It wouldn’t require an extra gpu like you suggested to retain compatibility because they’re both ARM cpus and it’s not like when I buy a new nvidia gpu it won’t just run an older game, the reason older Nintendo consoles needed an additional GPU to retain compatibility is that they switched manufacturers. The late 90s to early 2000s saw a lot of different companies come and go from that space. I think it’s reasonable to expect an up to 3x performance uplift, games that were 720p30 could do 1080p60 or 1440p30p depending on mode, im guessing they’ll prioritize battery life and do around 1080p in handheld and 1440p docked. The process node will be significantly smaller so at the same MHz it will run much more efficiently or at a higher MHz for the same power usage and heat.
we used sonos at my last job, it's a pain to use
now you gotta sound proof your fence between you and your neighbor … while youre at it might as well put a faraday cage in your fence so you dont get wifi interference from your neighbors
linus appears to have toned down the "YouTube bro" which is nice to see a more calm and informed approach I like this. followed your work since NCIX. Love this more relaxed style. I'm assuming this might be related to handing the CEO responsibilities over. keep up all the great work you do LMG
Power and audio cables in parallel after all of that work and with those nice speakers?
and in 2 months he does it all again
yay
"Sonos…is very good at supporting their old products"*
*after massive public outrage
Just like computers you don't know much about home audio.
