  1. I don't want an even larger screen to carry around, Fold, stretch or otherwise. Bring back Google glass type things, let's all be glassholes with AR.

  2. I really can't hear this guy anymore

  3. why do you even ask

  4. I don't know how the galaxy fold 3 was, but I have a fold 4, in fact a USED fold 4, and its construction quality is something else, because of being used it had some minor scratches, but that was it, it had no screen protector in any of the screens, no case, and yet only had some minor scratches and dents on the outside body, that's amazing, and, while I face daily some of the software quirks, the pros are so much bigger, even the battery, that while it is far from amazing, it's super doable for a normal day. To me right now, the only big downside is the cameras, they are good, don't think that the folds can't take good pictures, they can, but if you compare the fold 4 to somehing like even a S23+ or worse, the S23 Ultra, yeah, it falls behind real fast, but that's still the only issue I have with it

  5. Linus reading oshi no ko is canon

  6. STOP SCROLLING!

  7. I use a wallet case. It works as a stand, and I can keep a few cash notes, cards etc in there – don't need anything else but my keys and my phone is protected.

Folding phone just looks like a great excuse to drop and break something, as there's no way you can protect it with a case =/

Why hasn't Linus dropped this more?

  8. Reason one: because I'm a multi millionaire and still dont need to pay for anything? the rest of us have to buy our tech so cant be messing with these retail prototypes, we need something reliable.

  9. Give me thicker smartphones! I would take 2x as thick phone for amazing battery life. It doesn't change how it feels to carry one in your pocket much.

  10. Just got a fold 5, best conversion starter, especially with girls

  11. If it’s bigger then an iphone mini, I hate it

I remember when phones switched to glass screen. It was a watershed moment… amd there's no way I'm ever going back to a plastic screen, no matter what the benefits are. Plastic is an awful material for a touch screen.

  12. Video seems rushed bro.

  13. The day someone creates a foldable phone that unfolds into a real tablet, that day i might consider it.

For those wondering how, it'd be like "normal screen > Z form > tablet" kinda the way a pamphlet unfolds; so yeah, the front/main screen, becomes part of the tablet screen (which would be like 3 screens put together).

  14. I daily drive an 8” tablet for 5 years since 2016. Huawie matepad 2 8”0 with sim. Used it to call & text and everything. My secondary phone is a samsung c9, my wife still use it.

  15. i use a 2nd gen iphone se because of the size. I love the small 4,7 inch screen. Also i actually like the button xD Its perfect for me. I also dont use my phone for anything that needs more power so i dont really care about that personally.

  16. For 1200 USD (or 1200 EUR) I would be in. Would even have a second smaller phone for sports etc. but still to expensive usually

  17. I would watch this only after you shave.

  18. I'll consider foldable when they gonna perfect this tech.

    maybe 3-4years from now

Currently got a Fold 4 after my Flip 1 lasted two years no issues. Within 11 months the screen protector bubbled up and within a week after the bubbling up the screen itself cracked down the middle and the black screen ink is slowly expanding out from the centre, this has killed my inside/main screen. I'm thankful for Australia having 2 years warranty on consumer devices however Samsung support's only option for repair is for me to mail the phone to them and spend 2 weeks without a phone. Disappointed that this is the only way to repair it, there are no third party authorised repairers (to fix it under warranty) anywhere in my state and painfully constantly need a phone for 2FA logins for work and personal accounts. I absolutely love this fold but Samsung warranties are not quick at all despite the costs of the device.

  19. Looks like someone is reading OSHI NO KO manga

  20. Okay I'm disappointed in the segways to the sponsors. Usually they're blending in, but this one was more abrupt.
Nice review, and I like the honesty about them.

  21. I wish I could afford a folding phone

  22. Bulky and heavy? Naaa man, my phone is the ulefone Armor 18. That onr is bulky and heavy… almost 500gr. But its a tank and not easy to break… that is inportant for me. I dont tread my phones wel 😅

  23. I Actually kinda want a folding phone, but there are two reasons I will probably never get one.
First: the price, I was not willing to spend that kind of money on my gaming desktop so I will definitely not spend it on a phone.
Second: I'm working with operating an excavator/wheelloader. My pockets get filled up with sand/gravel/debris OFTEN, and if the screen is as delicate as described, I cannot imagine it lasting very long.

  24. because you're rich and can afford them?

What about x-twitter. That has to be legal and he fell right into it.

  25. Linus : "Best phone ever"

Also Linus :"Screen only lasts a year"

  26. I had the Z fold 4 for a few months right after it came out. I found that I used the outer screen more often than the inner one. The big screen was nice, but because of its odd shape, I actualy have more screen for media like movies or youtube videos on my galaxy s23 ultra. I found that the foldable screen was more of a novelty than functional. A few months after I got it I sold it and got a galaxy s23 ultra. I've been much happier with it.

  27. currently available foldables are still way too big to work as a phone
and way too small to work as a tablet
so it's the same phablet all over again

I love my fold3 dearly and it was well worth it, but I did have screen protector peel and now also micro cracks by the fold – appeared exactly a year after getting it. Its not an issue but it is unnerving. Hopefully fixed by when I upgrade. I really like the thinner Honor and Xiaomi folds

  28. I'm sticking to what I did before "big phones" and stay on my current size or go out of my way to continue until foldables are main stream enough and can't be avoided… Man I hope not unless they go super thin

  29. 3:35 The glow on the fingers makes me thing this clip was added in post-production…

  30. I just refer to it as "the website formerly known as Twitter"

  31. phone longevity is absolutely important when I'm making purchases. Having one more thing that could go wrong with a phone isn't worth the purchase

  32. solidworks is EXTREMELY anti-consumer. no i WILL NOT pay them ANY money.
