That's not at all what happened. There was already a USB c controller for android so the iPhone 15 uses the now universe version while older iPhone have to use the thunderbolt version but there is no USB c version designed only for the iPhone 15
Wasn't there already a USB-C version for literally every other smartphone?
I have the one for iPhone, now I can’t use it so I found a used one on order. I hope I can update it for Apple iPhone from a used system

I got a backbone 2 weeks ago and it was nice but the controls were a bit hard. So I retuned them, might get another in the future.
