I’m currently trying the Pixel 8 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max. They’re both easily the best phones available right now. Unfortunately I’m one of the unlucky few who is very sensitive to PWM and the iPhone 15 Pro Max is easier on my eyes because I REALLY am loving the Pixel 8 Pro!

I feel this is a bit "Apple" biased. The Pixel pictures are mostly better than the iPhone. More detail, more DR. Also the selfie camera of the Pixel is light years from the iPhones. On the selfies one sees the hair on your arms, the iPhone does not show that. Much crispier. It is very apparent also, that the iPhone has much more yellowish/warm/softy photos. Maybe this is what people appeal, but it does not always look good. Will be interesting to see how Google develops the software.
Collab of Leica with Xiaomi is the best in terms of photography on mobile devices. For video as usual nobody can beat iPhone. Thinking about to buy Xiaomi 13T/13T Pro, beceause I think it is the most balanced smartphone in terms of ratio price to camera quality.

Much to my regret, I have to say that the iPhone wins in practically all situations. By tonality, dynamic range of color and general look. I think the Pixel camera is not up to par this generation, at least for now, we will have to see how the results change with the updates.

When it comes to taking photos and filming videos, the Google pixel 8 pro still can't beat the iPhone 15 pro max. iPhone is still number 1.
the iPhone is not bad, but colors look more processed, the pixel is clearly amazing with rich colors and shadows
The potraits of pixel would be a dealbreaker for me… these cut outs are so bad sometimes.
The pixel low light portraits didn’t blur the background between your legs or gaps in your arms
@1:11 that shadow detail doesn’t look good on pixel. You can have too much raised shadows as a detriment to the image. Doesn’t look good. On the opposite end of the spectrum iphone had more detail in highlights. Dynamic range looks similar.
There’s just something about the pixel images that look weird to me. Like too digital and over processed. But googles AI is really impressive.
Pixel is not sharper, it's doing over sharpening. Google has lost their camera game to Apple and Samsung.
U are only promoting iPhone
The iPhone feels like its trying to be several different things and not doing well on anything (besides video).
There shouldnt be a reason why we take standard pictures on an iPhone that lacks punchy colors and such thats immediately eye pleasing. If we want that, we have RAW and HEIF. As much as I want to remember the moment exactly how I saw it but it is even nicer when a phone camera adds more oomph to it. While I would love to carry a Pixel with me, I am unfortunately tangled in the Apple Ecosystem.
Yeah pixel wins (until the S24,lol). I have the 15 Pro Max and the S22 Ultra. It struggles even against that. Is not bad by any means but people over hype iPhones abilities.

honestly, both phones are so damn good at photography that the average consumer/non-photographer isn't going to really notice the finer details. camera phones have come a LONGGG way and i'm loving it
I had a lot of hope in The Pixels but It's because Pixels had accustomed us to be far ahead in comparison to any other smartphone. I think now top phones are so equally matched among themselves!! But still we have to waiting for SG S24 U.
