about the type c cable "being better" for the iphone, i wont have my hopes up with apples trackrecord of self dieing cables, i mean if they are the same quaity as the lightning cables you most likely will buy a new cable every 6 to 12months with heavy use but they could suprise us with better quality cables with the type c

Design-wise both of them are not exactly beautiful. I think we have gotten used to these weird designs (back in particular), but if you try clearing your mind about what you have gotten used to and look at these phones again, they are pretty ugly. It actually really hard to think of a good looking phone nowadays… Maybe Sony Xperia 1V? It has its own share of problems, but it looks genereally neat. Just my opinion… 😂

Just received the Pixel 8 Pro. Smartest among smart phones. Hopefully someday google can use TSMC to manufacture tensor chip and Qualcomm for communication chip. Thats when PIXEL will totally beat iPhone hands down.

I swear, I've been using the Google 7 fingerprint scanner and have never.. ever experienced a problem. All I did was register my clean thumb twice.. it's been fast and reliable.

It's amazing how you can't use the finger print scanner properly I got the pixel 8 pro and it works 100 pro of the time so not sure what you do but please don't say it doesn't work of it actually does
Google has to keep grinding away, but when the Tensor G4/G5 get performance and efficiency parity, watch out. That will mean a smaller battery, and consequently, a more compact device – be it smaller, or thinner. I expect the gap between these two devices to close in another 2 years, and Pixels start taking the lead in terms of software features.
Going through the /r/GooglePixel subreddit has been a real eye-opener. The horrifying quality control issues and software bugs are flabbergasting. I pre-ordered the Pixel 8 Pro, but I am having real doubts. I hope I win the QC lottery and don't get a bad unit.
