It’s matter of time and Fitbit will get killed by Google
Disappointing to hear that the HR is still laggy and not accurate… that was their "big new thing" lol. Also.. what the heck is with that PIN for google wallet? Hopefully it lets me set a pin of 1111 haha.
Please review the Garmin Venu 3 and 3s!
Google desperately killing Fitbit by subscription model so that users shift to pixel and they shift to Apple or samsung 😂
I have had a charge 4 for a while. Mainly used to monitor walking/ steps / sleep and track weight. I wear it on my right alongside a traditional watch on my left wrist. I am an Apple phone user. Would you say its worth upgrading? How does the size of the 6 compare to the 4? Thanks for a great video!
I'm afraid to try this one for now. Not only my Charge 5, but also my Charge 4, eventually started leaking sweat inside. I never used them for swimming, and never submerged them in water. Also avoided any excessive water splash from using a hose and such. Seems the seals fail around the sensor and allow sweat in after a year or less. I do love the Charge line, it's a fitness tracker primarily, but with smart watch features, but the perfect weight and size; they have always disappeared on my wrist with the sport bands. Ended up with the Versa 4, as I still am invested in Fitbit's data and all. It's pretty solid, but it's huge (the reason i avoided full-blown smart watches and loved the Charge). At least the battery life is good, and you do get a lot of easy to read information on the watch itself, as well as Alexa, voice calls through watch, etc.
Seems like there are some great changes!
The sole reason I still use my inspire 2 is the ‘stat heavy’ face and it’s insane battery life. None of the new fitbits have come close to be worth sacrificing those features for.
I think Fitbit varsa is the real deal compare to
the problem i had with the charge 5 was the activity zone notifications which you'd get regardless of setting's, and have to keep sleep-mode on to not get a notification of.
Perfect way to lose one user & turn down my wish for Fitbit 6 to buy it with all this subscription services &
time to buy Xiaomi Mi Band 8 which is
not connected to any subscription services and use of music controlls cuz' I can controll my spotify premium with no problems and also 14 days of
battery life is for sure massive improvement over Fitbit 6.
Google Pay I don't use it cuz' I'm Samsung user and I use Samsung Pay in Germany and works well though
all over countrys that are NON-EU which is amazing.
Stupid design with entering PIN to pay and in Germany people are not patient
when it come to waiting on a check out
of the store & paying for grocerys which will cause potentially negative comments while I'm trying to put the
PIN to pay cuz' why you would even need it…I have Samsung Galaxy Watch
and I enter PIN once when I put it on my hand and never again while wearing it for ex. to pay cuz' watch knows that it's on my hand and as soon as I take it off of my hand it's locked in 1 second so no one can use it without my PIN
even for like watch cuz' it displays
PIN Keypad over the
whole screen.
All & All looks nice and sleek but with a subscription nowdays pay for this & this & this at the end you will end
up working to pay off all the
subscription services which is waste of money for nothing…it's a damn watch to controll music, track steps, sleep, heartrate…etc…why do you need to pay for something more to unlock futures when you already pay for a watch itself
but it's overall company ismaking money from the side and charge users more for nothing…
I mean, someone finds something interesting & helpful but me personally
not the way to go and to pay for subsription services…
except Netflix & Spotify and that's it…
others are not needed & waste of money.
Just do the math and at the end you'll see there is not so much benefits and
try to calculate monthly spending
on subsription services and you'll end up realizing that you signed up for something that you really don't need but still you use it which is throwing money in the trash.
😅
It's all about saving money and not spending it too much nowdays.
😊
Fitbit lost its way for these past few years. I say Garmin is the better deal these days.
The charge 5 seemed to have a big issues with the hearttracker & GPS at the same time. If you wear it tightly so the heart tracker is precise, the GPS will lose connection all the time and vice versa. Is that still the case with the Charge 6?
The problem with buying new Fitbits is that you can't use them on your account with any other modern Fitbit. So, if you have a Pixel Watch, you can't have both it and the Charge 6 on your account at the same time. This is extremely frustrating and, in my opinion, short-sighted by Google. I guess they don't want to sell more hardware. Some of us use different Fitbits for different purposes and/or swap them out when they're charging. We could always do this in the past. It's a huge step back.
Congrats 👶🍼
Paywall is always a huge turn off. Sticking to Garmin which is much better than fitbit.
She is so cute 🥰.. I could listen to her all day
Price cut is good. Fitbits were ALWAYS over priced for what they offered. Thank God they went to a colour screens finally. Like what decade are we in? Not bad for Fitbit. Still for entry level fitness people, but not bad.
Got the charge 3, and charge 5 , both devices never last over 2 years with normal usage , not more Fitbit products for me …
This subscription model is getting out of hand. Seriously looking at another brand like Garmin, Samsung, or Apple (requires an Apple phone though)
They music controls on 5 but it was only through Spotify and you had to have Spotify pro.
My big question is, did they fix the GPS? The onboard GPS on my Charge 5 sucked. Because of where they put the receiver, if I had the tracker tight enough to track my heart rate accurately, the GPS didn't work. If I had it loose enough for the GPS to work, it didn't track my heart rate.
Nice review! Does the pin prompt always come up for payment or is it only for large transactions?
Mentions its cheaper than the previous model.
Fails to mention the actual price.
Can you lock the screen for weight training.
I wondered where you were. My favorite fitness tech reviewer from CNET
I love a good battery life
Why is her nose so cute?
the battery life compared to other smartwatches is awesome
Thanks Lexy with another great review
I'll keep my charge 5
The subscription model is the best way to lose existing users and no new potential buyers.
