Luke if you wanna play with one of those long ass printers i could invite you to my friend's print shop in Seattle. He'd definitely want a blue screwdriver, though. You could make a video about the printer, being shocked at every module.

No, it's creepy. They can turn those devices off whenever they want.
Can you imagine a moment you need your phone, and then a malicious person switches it off?
Can you imagine a moment you need your phone to be off, and then someone turns it on?
On the gun topic, I think a lot of people don't realize just how advanced 3d printed guns are, for example, the FGC-9 is a gun made entirely from plastic, easily makable metal parts, and normal screws and springs you could find in a home depot. Its semi-automatic and takes Glock magazines. On top of that variations that make it completely legal to make and own in the US already exist. It is as advanced as needed to be a possible issue, that being said this law is the dumbest way to go about banning them I've seen.
you shouldnt have to justify wealth gained by hard work… with free people comes a free life
Amd fx 8**0 series 8 core over 4ghz shit today
I think y'all are absolutely drawing a false equivalence between handmade weapons and 3d printed parts. One requires materials knowledge and the skill to make something one requires you downloading a file and pushing print
With China there is no cooperation. They allow companies in and then steal their IP and kick them out again or screw them over afterwards.
California from bottom to top is about 13-14 hours and 796mi(1291km)
Here I am, in Edmonton, AB, feeling like a badass living where it’s unfit for human, for the past 34 years 🥲😂
Group policy editor on pro versions of windows give you more control over windows update
I want those carabiners so bad. They're so great.
As a new Yorker who recently bought his first 3d printer I am unhappy with the potential for this law, genuinely making me consider buying another bigger one before the law comes into effect so I don't have to worry about upgrading later.
I dont believe the Twitter dollar fee will be effective for the bulk of the spam and scam bots.
It will keep the script kiddies fromserring up a bunch of bots, but for thr big bot companies and state backed propaganda bots etc the dollar is irrelevant and they will work around the credit card requirement pretty easily.
What this will do is give Twitter your credit card informatiin and normalize paying for Twitter.
Musk has basically said he wants to make Xitter into the western WeChat. And a big obstacle in working towards that is getting people to think of it as a place to pay money.
sounds like you silly kids got your hands in the ol adderall jar…
Absolutely no-one: "I really wish Apple could remotely turn on my iPhone so that they can 'Update' it because I totally expect my over-priced disposable phone to be out of date before i even buy it."
Apple exec 1: "Wouldn't it be great if we had access to our customers phones around the clock to do whatever the hell we want with them."
Apple exec 2: "Lets just bait them with this totally unnecessary 'feature', that always works."
It's funny that you mention mac updates being seamless, and I'm sure I'm the exception, but every time I update my work mac, it dumps me in the bios and I have to go through some repair process, so I have to stay and watch it for up to half an hour. If I let it go overnight and have to work remotely the next day, I definitely won't be able to get back in.
crossbow is legal
The whole 3-D printer thing seems a bit of a farce. After all, the Owen Gun – a full-auto submachine gun was invented in some bloke's home workshop, and it ended up being one of the simplest, ugliest, and most reliable weapons of its kind. No printer needed at all.
Just wait until he has to replace the battery on his car.
Of course amd abandoned gamers etc , everyone said that would happen as soon as they got the lead back , it’s amazing how less and less consumer friendly a company is once they’re not the under dog anymore.
I don't understand politics but didn't the US impose sanctions, China reduced exports and the US got angry and retaliated with more… Sanctions?
Hate the notification for YouTube, but love subscription. I go through the list of what has been published by the creators I like, and the ones I want to watch (which is usually most) I add to watch later
Please don't be that guy who only replaced one tire at a time. This increases the wear on your other tires, other parts of the car, and decreases safety
Even though i also think the whole 3d printing background check is stupid. you guys are seriously underestimating how good 3d printed guns have gotten… More specifically AR-15 lowers… With many advances in printer especially in the past 2-3 years… Including the type of filament mainstream consumers can buy… Its is way more viable to create the "lower" that can out put more than 1000+ rounds. Back when i became aware of 3d printed guns in 2012. They were able to print nylon on way worse machines and those could shoot around 10-20 rounds of NATO 5.56… We now have Carbon filber nylon filament with printers like the prusa mk4 or the Bamboo Lab X1 that can just print a "lower" of a gun right out of the box…. then purchase everyting else they need without a background check.
Again, the law is stupid, but in all honestly lowering the bar to create the "gun" porition is getting wayyy too easy. I can't comment on what kind of law we can have to prevent these things… but I can assure you there needs to be a greater conversation on 3d printed guns….
Imagine twitter full of bots spouting state propaganda at each other, hilarious

They really put the D-pad on the wrong side for every wooden controller… What is with the detail management in LTT these days lol

I'd been on the fence about free will vs determinism my whole life until last year.
I realized that most people most of the time are living deterministically. The only time its possible to utilize free will is by actively deciding to change the focus of our attention. Basically, it's all [input]→[function]→[output], but we can choose to change the input through redirecting attention. This is why mindfulness is so powerful.
