Awesome Tips Pixel 8 Pro Review: Google’s Best Phone Needs More
I tested the Google Pixel 8 Pro over the course of several weeks. And after a rocky start, I think Google’s flagship phone offers plenty, but it’s the long-term support that stands out the most to me.

This is by far the best phone I have ever used. The haptics are great, the display is the best I have ever seen, the speakers are the best they have ever been on pixel. Not to mention the camera has an upgraded main, telephoto and ultra wide and now has the absolute best ultra wide camera or video of any phone. the battery has been fine if you don't game on your phone (because why would you, just go home and actually play games on something that is made for it(I dont do phone calls on a computer because a phone does it better type thing.)) I just think this guy was butt hurt by a bug or something. Also, pixel phones get better over time with the AI and get the longest promised security and full blown feature updates for 7 YEARS far more than iPhone or any other phone. I know iPhone supports for a while but they rarely ever give older phones new features.
You have to realize when you see click bait stop video after 1:08 minutes lol
Pixel devices are becoming the most hated in the snobby tech community. People are just mad that Pixels usually top the list for best phones in their respective categories.
Is it better than the S23 plus? Thank you
Gosh I don't know what to say about that review of course it's not a big change from the Pixel 7 pro year to year there's never big changes in any phone manufacturer so I'm not sure why that's news. The pixel 8 isn't for me but from the reviews I've seen it's got a better screen much brighter it's flat which people want The cameras are a little better which that's nice there are some cool AI features that take a little time but no other phone can do what it does so that's definitely pretty a Plus feature, The battery life is better ,it's got the soft touch back which no phone has the same which reviewers say is great. If you bought a during the pre-order you got a free Pixel 2 watch which is about I don't know was it $300 -350 value. They fixed the problems with the camera after a software update so why did you even bring it up All manufacturers fixed problems when the phone's first come out. And just to keep this real I'm typing all of this on Samsung Galaxy s 23 Plus I don't know I found that review not so informative but more of his personal problems.
Garbage review.
The Pixel 8 Pro is a great device. As a Samsung user and recent iPhone user, going to the Google Pixel 8 Pro from iPhone has been the most pain free experience. The fact that face recognition is so good on it and can open many apps including banking makes it such a great choice when switching from Face ID in Apple. The software is the most pure version of Android which is fantastic as it does not have to be fighting with Samsung apps that do the same thing. Smoothness is like nothing i've ever experienced on an Android device.
Honestly, you should look into quit on doing reviews.
I hope that bytedance sues both Google and meta for deliberately violating copyright law regarding that shorts crap!! Quit trying to turn YouTube into a tiktok wannabe.
Very good (and honest) review. I agree with much of it.
I upgraded from the Pixel 5 and bought the 8 Pro, and not only am I perfectly satisfied, I have no doubt the 8 Pro will get even better as Google issues updates and feature drops.
I'm a Google guy. Before my 5, I owned the 3, and while I can admit that the Pixels are not the cream of the crop, I think they get better with every new issue, and the 8 Pro is damn close to the best.
pixel camera keeps on updating for the first 3 months, after 3 months u unlock the full potential of google camera
Casting mirrorcasting does not work on non Google devices such as FireStick or Roku, not compatible, sad because would been cool to be able to share photos and video at friends house during the holidays.
Biased reviews are meaningless.
Samsungs camera is still king of the hill, next iPhones then Sony then Google in 4th place, for a brand that brags allot about its camera quality it's sure far from ready to compete with the big dogs.
Love my Pixel 8 Pro. I think it offers a great experience. Better than Samsung where bixby and samsung apps are at constant battle for phone space on the same device. I don't need 2 messaging apps, 2 calendars, 2 email clients etc etc etc. Even if you try to turn bixby off, it still keeps trying to pry itself back into the phone.
If you don't like pixel, just get an iPhone.
Those long wait times you speak of for the photo edits are not because of the chip. They are working on Google’s servers, that’s why there’s a wait.
How did this guy get his job ? This video is flawed from the start. They improved and added more than ever on this pixel. Not saying it's the nest phone, but to say nothing really new to talk about is ridiculous. Then he just drones on because everything else isn't quite the way he'd like it lol. That's not how to review a phone. Even Apple channels gave much better and more real of a review then this joke !
The magic editor is a cloud based feature, so the 'excruciating 15 seconds' can't be blamed on the SOC.
The problem with silly features on anything new is that they become seriously embarrassing, once the just-released hype passes. And so it is with the utterly ridiculous external temperature sensor on the Pixel 8 Pro. Beyond silly, you are going to be the butt of jokes forever, as you whip out your device to shakes of the heads, rolls of the eyes and smirks, as once again, your temp sensor enabled phone is dragged kicking and screaming into public view, just to make a call or take a photo.
Whoever thought this was a great idea needs sacking. Twice.
You must be an iPhone guy lol which means his opinion doesn't matter
This guy is a tool
I'm unsubbing
I think this dude either has a duff unit or is so blinkered by his sheep skew that he isn’t seeing what an awesome device he is holding. Maybe he’s been so wowed by an action button he’s forgotten what unbiased and well researched journalism actually is !
Coming from a S22 Ultra would you consider this to be a worthy upgrade?
Testing for hours only is not enough to give a verdict on its battery life. I will take weeks for the phone to learn how you use it to adjust it's battery. Professional photographer will not use a cellphone to take photos. They use actual photo cameras for that and nothing beats Google when it comes to it's assistant which has no comparison too
Adding a temperature sensor is so weird, who was asking for this feature? Anyone who needs to regularly measure temperatures probably already has a way to do it, I don't see any normal person using it regularly. It's not a bad thing to add it, it just seems like a strange thing to put on a phone out of the blue.
Are all these tech reviewers out their f mind? This is a big leap in many areas, much more than most competitors are doing. And… it needs more?
When the new Samsung S24 comes out, this thing will be forgotten.
I've owned the Pixel 2, Pixel 4, Pixel 5, Pixel 6 and now the Pixel 8. The Pixel 8 is the best one yet.
So many toxic comments I can't read through this garbage lol. Everyone wants to one up each other and nobody wants to have a real discussion. What the heck..
How is there a review here for this phone versus or before the OnePlus Open? Biased much??!!
The written review for the Open sounds like it wasn't an "Open",pun intended ,minded review(er). Like others that have mentioned here in this review, I found it disappointing.
Another iPhone fanboy review,very biased
As a Pixel 6 Pro owner, Pixels are nothing but higher-midrange phones. Tensor (Exynos) chips are so far behind Snapdragon, it's not even funny.
So an apple fanboy reviewed it lol
The screen is a lot brighter, the pixel 8 pro is easier to hold than the pixel 7 pro , it is a little skinnier, I like the blue, the photos seemed more Samsung like , brighter than my pixel 7, I 💬 the video has improved over the 7!. It's a good phone, no complaints. It's my daily driver , I also have an iPhone 15 pro max , but used my pixel because it seems Google screen my calls better. .
I recently pre-ordered this Pixel 8 Pro from my mobile provider. Buyer's Remorse? Don't know. I like the three items you stated, as I will probably never upgrade my phone again. I will never buy an Apple product, so for 7 years of Android updates, this was great for me. Camera editing (like Magic Erase) is perfect for me as I go on vacation often and the cost from my provider is much less than upgrading to another Samsung Galaxy phone.
They guy had everyone thinking there was a big issue with the camera…. And we all know pixel was never a power house compared to any other new flagship phone
