Why you test the EPYC on windows tho? We tried that and it runs waaaaaaaaaay faster (like 25%) on a kernel 6.6 ubuntu compared to windows

Man.. need to confess i gor disapointed when Linus started to spray alcohol in the heatsink instead of grab a good old fan, like the ones we turn on to move some air in hot days just to blow over the entire thing inside that wondrous workstation case from another history period.
It couldn't be the right move to do, but surelly would be his type of practical joke/pun.
I am stuck with AMD for a while because Intel are using efficiency cores to pad out their core counts. I like/need to use VMs a lot at home and Intel would put me in the awkward position of working out what system gets the gimped cores… After working out how to allocate specific cores to specific machines, or otherwise get some really wonky performance happen.
