Cover the Sahara and Middle East deserts with dehumidifiers powered by solar panels. Use the water from the dehumidifiers to turn the Sahara into farmland.
Cover the sand with refined oil as a barrier to inhibit the water from sinking below the sand.
Compost food waste from all around the world to cover the oil with a thick layer of fertile soil.
Start planting in the soil and let the plants absorb the CO2 out of the atmosphere.
This is a tree. This is literally what trees do.

Definitely a good idea. Capturing and reducing carbon emissions is a combination of solutions that serve the same purpose. One method alone may not work as effectively. My only concern in all this is carbon storage underground.

Solar, wind, and batteries have all become exponentially cheaper as we've built them at scale and taken advantage of learning curves. It's frustrating to hear anyone say CCS is too expensive before the technology has been demonstrated at scale.

Elon musk is a fraud.
He buys over a billion dollars of bitcoin, not quietly to make a quick profit, but LOUDLY to promote this ridiculous digital cancer.
Bitcoin currently uses more power than many small countries PUT TOGETHER yet Mr musk is encouraging more people to get involved.
Bitcoin cannot ever because me a currency for many reasons, nit the least if which are that the global system is limited to 4 transactions per second, 1 million times less than the financial markets alone without regard to people paying for things like they do WITH A CURRENCY, it would require 3 or 4 times the power used by THE WHOLE PLANET just to run bitcoin as a currency even if the limits problem was resolved and it's ridiculous volatility with total lack of security means it can never be used to buy or sell things as the real world price may be much higher or lower by the time your transaction is completed
Elon is a clever lad and made some great businesses so he knows these facts fully and therefore to promote this fad as anything more than a fraudulent joke means he does not care about the environment or global climate change as no-one informed could do such a stupid thing without ACTUALLY WANTING THE WHOLE PLANET TO DIE
