Our good old friend Keith from the small tech shop we bought out told us this Panasonic Toughbook laptop was indestructible. We don’t think so much. But just how much damage can it take? What ARE the standards for deeming a computer as “rugged”? Was Keith overselling it or does this PC have an adamantium chassis and the ability to regenerate?

I am sure that Panasonic isn't dead.
If they open it up and just reassemble it… 90% it would just be a lose connection

These laptops withstand abuse on our oil rigs, have been left outside in the rains and storms, used with dirty gloves, dropped from heights etc etc
I feel bad for the laptop
Latest Lnius content is amazing.
Where was the control test!!!!!!! Missed opportunity
Forget about mil standards. I need Linus-proof laptop.
so the screen broke because a car went over it.
Solution: use a flexible substrate OLED panel.
I bet that battery terminal is probbaly toast. However a power adapter might boot it up lol
Finally something linusproof
I bet that tough book still works. He should have plugged the charger in to have a final review.
We had these in the military to make artillery calculations. We used these everywhere and these never broke even though it rained or snowed or dropped from various heights. Our laptop was also buried in snow for many hours and worked as expected. These are amazing.
I have an hp probook 440 g6, I've been using it for 5years almost, I dropped it on concrete stairs accidentally 3 years ago and turned out to be fine even it had the lid open and was powered on, it's did not shut down, the screen bent, I just had to unscrew it, place it under a blanket and made it flat with a small hammer hitting gently, placed back the screen and still using the laptop, no signs of weakness even after 3 years, still cooling the cpu, nothing moved or unplugged inside, anyway hp laptops look bad but they are freaking strong
Finally a kid proof laptop 🎉
So we need Linus resistant rating now that sits above mil grade standard.
is Mr Keith is watching this video?
There must be a law about misusing computers like this!
This is cruelty of the highest order.
This computer has suffered enough.
I may have to report LTT to the R.S.C.C.
