Comments

  1. CORRECTION – The caption reads 144hz for the Alienware ultrawide OLED< but it's actually up to 175hz

  2. For 1440p what about the Gigabyte M27Q

  3. Im considering a 1440p ultrawide oled. Im not sure about the curved monitor tho and also not sure what it will do to output on a twitch or discord stream (going from ultrawide to normal aspect ratio)

  4. thoughts on the Gigabyte M27Q 27 ?

  5. I bought the OLED PG27AQDM when it dropped on the market…and it is indeed the monitor to have. It's UNBELIEVABLEโค๏ธ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ‘‘

  6. As a Gigabyte M34WQ daily driver, I can confirm it's well worth a punt if you're looking for a budget ultrawide that can double-up as a work monitor. The built-in KVM switch is what convinced me to invest, and being able to click a button at 5pm and instantly switch from my various Excel work spreadsheets to gaming in 1440p, 144hz glory is brilliant.

  7. 38" 5K OLED 120Z monitor is the endgame of all monitors.

  8. your the best very throe

  9. I canโ€™t stand the washed out contrast on ips. I need deep blacks gaming. I literally canโ€™t see anything with games like Alan wake 2 and other games that are low lighted. The IPS glow is super annoying. I am down to try oled if it will give me a blacker contrast

  10. Great video like always but i can't wait for qd oled 4k 32" of Alienware

  11. My YouTube channel selling

  12. Day 11 of asking for a gaming pc

  13. anyone else notice the slight burn in on the bottom of the screen when he's talking bout OLEDs

  14. I went into this video expecting garbage and garbage recommendations, pre good recommendations to be honest. But in terms of recommendations it depends on the users budget and their country. Theres alot of great monitor options out there now and it mainly comes down to the price of it at the current time when they're thinking about purchasing a new display

  15. Thanks sir!

  16. You think the odyssey g7 (2020) is still worth it? Really want a VA because of the contrast but am not ready to spend for OLED. Thanks!

  17. Thanks for this informative video.

  18. OLED or save more money

  19. What are your thoughts on a Dell 34 Curved Gaming Monitor โ€“ S3422DWG?

  20. OLEDs for me.

  21. We need a 32" 2560×1440 OLED monitor.

  22. I got a Lenovo 1080p 144hz IPS 24" monitor for ยฃ109 on Black Friday.

I could spend ยฃ1k on a monitor if i wanted to, but honestly the experience is fantastic. The only upgrade I'd make is OLED or 360hz.

I've a owned QHD high refresh monitor before, and I prefer 1080 for value and nailed high FPS.

  23. AW3423DW gang ๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿป

  24. Any input, 2cents or suggestion is appreciated:
Currently, I can't decide between a 38 inch curved or non-curved UltraWide. Its between nano IPS vs normal IPS and 3840×1600 vs 3440×1440 (or 12:5 vs 21:9), which is -even if small, probably a noticeable difference in PPI to me in this ratio. They're both 144hz, which is what I'm aiming for. I'm buying the UW for productivity and I also do a little casual gaming of various types. It will replace my current 27inch 1440p ,144hz screen. The curved nano IPS 12:5 screen by LG is twice as expensive though and I'm not sure if its worth it. I'm worried the 12:5 aspect ratio could be even more of an "issue" with certain games than 21:9 already is. If the LG was OLED I wouldn't have hesitated for the price but.. its not.

    TIA

  25. That Alienware with letters and numbers for a name is absolutely stunning in it's simplicity.

  26. I've had the AW3423DWF for a few months now, it's amazing lol.

  27. i canโ€™t speak much on 4k or oleds. However, i recently switched to a 1440p 240hz monitor from 1080p 360hz and it was soooo worth it! Highly recommend 1440p gaming !!

  28. Yea see that guy at the end pic'd the monitor im looking to get, I would wait for the 4k 240HZ Asus rog OLED thats coming out but 32' is to big for FPS gaming IMO

  29. funny as I am between the asus rog 1440P 240hz OLED and the ASUS ROG 1440P 360hz monitors rn. Trying to decide which one I want, probably going to go with the OLED one as I have only had IPS all my life! Unless anyone has either of this and wants to let me know how good they are!

  30. Peoples here playing on tv's

  31. 4k 32" and bigger aren't as sharp than a 27 or 28" id go 32" for 8k 144hz but even then id like a 28" for the higher ppi

  32. Would the AOC 24G2SPU be good for ps5?

  33. You didn't mention that OLED panels display text horrible. Edges and text have fringing and chromatic abberation on them which looks really bad.

  34. OLED user here: One must understand that OLED is not perfect.
    To name a few.
    1. If you play any hard locked 60fps games you will have a bad experience with OLED at higher refresh rates (120+ FPS) due to double image – image in front and behind initial moving object. Any games you play on an OLED MUST be played at the max refresh rate capable of an OLED.
    2. VRR you get pixel overdrive that result in flicker when capping max refresh rate of monitor that can be controlled by capping 5fps below max refresh rate.
    3. Screen flicker with erratic frame drops more noticeable with static menus and dark loading screens. If you are sensitive to flicker you may have a bad experience.
    4. Pixel shift is automatic that you need to get used to if you do any editing.
    5. Screen dimming with static image is auto after a couple minutes and its a protection feature.
    6. Screen retention may sometimes be mistaken for screen burn. Screen retention is temporary and the monitor does auto pixel refresh at shutdown after certain hours usage.
    7. Screen burn may be more prone to a higher set backlight brightness. More brightness = more heat. High end panels incorporate heat spreaders to dissipate heat generated by OLED thus lowering affects of screen burn.

There is a couple more things but I feel the above should suffice.

Having said that a 4k 120Hz OLED is sublime and paired with a RTX4080 you will have a great experience. First thing you will notice is very low ghosting and great color accuracy ๐Ÿ™‚

  35. When it comes to HDR one thing I'm confused about is for example with ASUS OLED laptops. I can pick in the myasus app the DCI-p3 colour profile or the viviid DCI-P3 coloor profile but then I can't stream HDR video content on youtube, I have to enable HDR in windows 11 but by doing that I can't use any of the MyAsus colour profiles, so am I missing out?

What kind of HDR is windows using, is as good as the colour profiles in the myasus app? It's really confusing as I'm not sure if its using the entire colour space, windows is not clear about that.

  36. Since I got an lg oled tv, I can't go back to IPS monitors for gaming. OLED is just too good!

  37. i think 27inch is the golden size, would love to hear other opinions

  38. Would you consider a 42 inch oled tv as a monitor? Or recommend Iโ€™d say

  39. Since i went ultrawide… i cannot go back to a normal screen… it's just too awesome to not getting them !!
