If you’ve ever thought about building your own laptop, luggable, or briefcase PC, you probably came to the conclusion pretty quickly that building a portable chassis from scratch is just not something an average person should have to do. But now, thanks to Alibaba’s constant stream of weird oddity computer parts, we can fit a full gaming PC, complete with a desktop GPU, 600W power supply, and ITX motherboard, in a case that’s only slightly larger than a laptop that’s too big to be useful, and only slightly heavier than what would cause an average person to slip a disc.

  1. at this rate you will need a separate mouse and keyboard might as well just bring an mini itx system

  2. that starfield edition mouse😭

  3. Butchering the word laptop.

  4. tbf the front IO connectors always feel like a remnant from the 1980's.

  5. I lol'ed at the hourglass.

  6. Im building in an old flip top school desk with less room than this suitcase.. and using the same CPU.. hope ventilation is good.

  7. do a video on making your own powerr supply , how hard can it be ? some traces wires and caps and a transformer

  8. LOL props to the idiots buying brief case comps for travelers…when you can get a great laptop and usbc screen……or a 14 liter computer and a usbc screeen…

  9. I would not have bothered trying to use a high spec machine for this. I actually wanted a budget portable arcade setup.

Grab a ARM Cortex A9 Quad-core processor with maybe a PSA-S812-004 motherboard and you should be able to get a very light portable emulation system. Maybe convert the hollowed inside case to include a controller storage flap or have a portable built in battery bank.

Granted you could also go the extra mile and just throw in a busted but rescued laptop motherboard in the case to do the same, but I the simplicity of an arm processor setup.

  10. looks like they added a screen to an optiplex

  11. Only thing holding me back from this that I would want a better screen on it

  12. Hi, Linus I made something similar, only it's water-coold

  13. I appreciate the product uniqueness but I think LTT could make there own. You can buy USB c monitors that are above 1080 p 60 for 200. You can buy itx cases that are slimmer I've seen them for around 100 and sfx power supplies that will work with them. At that point hook up a keyboard and mouse which is around another hundred for decent equipment and you have a" laptop". If you want a handle just deck screw a handle on. They also make portable monitors for the consoles, I guess if that's your definition of ,"laptop" you can call them a laptop too.😂 It kind of reminds me of that custom Xbox that was put in a case years back with a monitor that you guys showed off.

  14. Ъ.

  15. Does your child game, punish them with a bad styled pc on christmas which burns specifically the wasd keys.

  16. I'd love to see a return of the "luggable" form factor

  17. omg,i love the intro skit so much,so funny 😅

  18. You could put a layer of thin garage door insulation under the keyboard and probably solve the hot to touch issue

  19. Ultimate LAN party setup

  20. I had this idea just this morning and now you say its dumb

  21. you could repurpose an old crosley cruiser turntable case and make people think you have a record player with you

  22. You're going to have that much volume, and not even attempt to throw a mechanical keyboard on there? What a waste of time. Throw it back in the trash where you found it.
