2:22:42 I'm with Dan on this one, I usually say "exe" and "ini" as a word rather than spelling it out. The main reason is probably that it is harder to spell in my first language.
That said, I've also said "png" as a word before, but not out loud to anyone, only when reading while tired as a way to amuse myself.

But thats assuming each is worthy in itself of being a game & not just a dlc.

Then again we already have dlc thats that expensive if not more. And some companies/games have already been like this. Take the .hack series, first set was 4 games each full price. Second series which was a separate story was 3. At least when they released the anniversary edition of Last Recode they bundled all three into 1 game & added a 4th dlc sized game in to tie up a few loose ends + a few other extra items.

That said, I'd gladly pay for multiple partial stories from that series again if they are as nice as the last 2 installments.

If the fair phone doesn't work out, you should try the ROG. I went from the Note 8 to it not long ago, and it's great. They are super fast. It has a huge battery life, a Headphone jack, and an OLED screen, and I love having two USB C. It doesn't have a Notch. It has good enough cameras for me. Aside from being heavy, which I've just gotten more vital in the last two years, it has been an effortless switch.

I'd be fine buying BG3 in three parts, but definitely not for 60 dollars each.

There are several episodic games that did not finish, or got worse with later episodes. A fully rewarding game, with narrative and gameplay goals, should be a single game and payment.
I am gladly patient enough, that I don't mind waiting for GOTY/Enhanced Editions or the full releases. Also, calling movies and games content is the only reason you equate them so much, they are created wholly different.
I hate how much I spent on Anno 1800 and its 4 freaking season passes 😀 I would love if that game's content (proper use) could be one and done, but that not how low-risk/max-profit game publishing works.

The problem with episodic games is that the market for episode 2, 3, 4, etc. isn’t all gamers it’s gamers who played the previous parts. Even if you write the story in such a way that lets people jump in late. People will still be weary about if bc others in the past haven’t

When a game is in parts part 1 is an easy sell. But part 2 is a tough sell – only people who played part 1 will buy it and even then only some percentage of those people will put down the money.
