I'm going to build a PC now with 7th gen Ryzen CPU because I don't really think 8th Gen is worth it, especially if it's priced like that. I don't need a super duper integrated graphics. And I'm going to wait before buying a GPU because I hope that the rtx 4070 non super is going lower those 450$
I plan to purchase the 4070 Super, isn't 12 GB VRAM future proof enough if I still use it for 1080p?
Ahh i sew that's why they of market 12 ghz gpu from market ๐๐
Thanks Marcus. Super video! ๐
Like the impartiality and the reason I watch, still leaning towards AMD for my new build but will wait and see what happens in the cominig weeks
Do you think they'll be actually available in stores at the end of the month or will we have to wait weeks/months till there's actual a good amount in stock?
I arleady bought a 7900XT just before Xmas. Think I'm good for the next couple years tbh.
Did that GPU just slide back?
all the shortages of the founders edition you know why now they send most of them to youtubers lol
What about "Super Scam"?
You got an RTX 4070 Super… before Linus did.
Im more excited waiting to see what AMD brings to the table. Heck a 7800xt is just 10% slower than a 4070ti which is a lot more expensive. Sure the super version will bump that up for 20% but still for that cost is it enough?
I hope 7900xtx will become even cheaper now
Nvidia hits hard with those "idle & video playback" power consumptions… gr8 job nvidia, impressive power consumption figures ! ๐
To be absolutely honest .. i own RTX 3080Ti now , so possible upgrade for 4070Ti Super is really great option .. because almost double the performance , or very similar — but one times less power consumption . Man .. If I had the extra money, I'd buy it now.๐
man I got a GTX 760 that I got for $35 and you flexing on me like this
Ngl the card is gorgeous
waiting for 2025 for several reasons
1) LG has OLED's coming out with less text fringing (in 2025)
2) 4k 240hz displays will be out (Display Port 2.1)
3) RTX 5080/5090 (with Display Port 2.1)
4) maybe PCIE 5.0 will be useful by then
I currently use a RTX 4070 Ti for my ATX case which was recently built. I don't think I need to upgrade to a new GPU soon. I'll see if they release the 60 Series cards then I might do a big upgrade to my set up. The RTX 4070 Ti Super is bit of a scam to me so not worth the money
Anyone even buying these overpriced trash.
Wait …did he just say Nvidia are great for power efficiency …3:40
๐๐๐
i love the look of the new FE cards, wish the 4070 ti super was getting the same treatment ๐
im thinking of going for a 4070 super or 4070 ti for 1440p high refresh gaming. But I might just ignore gaming for another 8 months and wait. AMD seems to be asleep on the gravy train, waiting to be kicked off.. they missed their stop.
I game in 4k on my 4070 all the time. It's not going to give a rock solid 60+ FPS in all games without upscaling and oftentimes Framegen, but it does really well for its specs.
The super cards are nice enough. Pricing with Nvidia has been an issue. But I'd rather they price gouge than completely pull out of the consumer GPU market.
Iโm looking to buy and Iโm holding off for a while.
If Nvidia can get the 4080 super card to go around 1.2k or lower with the normal 4080 being around 7900 xtx prices then this will be a success for Nvidia but if the super card are going to not decrease the price of the original 4080 and it will be 1.3-1.4 for the super card then it will still be better to go 7900 xtx if you want to save money. But again that is also only if the 4080S is better since if it just gives minimal performance over the 7900 xtx and is more expensive than the current 4080 on the released marketโฆ. Then it WILL flop and only sell on brand value from Nvidia. Just picked a 7900 xtx up for 880 on sale. With those price trends for the 7900 xtx being sub 1000 and now sub 900 Nvidia will be rolled.
IMO
Iโm looking to upgrade my GTX 1080 for competitive fps titles at 1440p at high fps. I picked up the 7800X3D Microcenter bundle and was waiting for the Super announcement to choose my GPU. Which model would you recommend for this use case?
Im keeping my old 4070 12gb of vram and waiting like a year i still get great performance and im not playing in 4k ill wait until games utilize the tech and prices to level out and upgrade for cheaper prices
so im running 4070ti 12gb gpu and 5900x and 32gb ddr 4 4000 ram win 11 and at 3440-1440p, i am pretty happy, just bit annoyed the 4070ti super is now 16gb. if my ti was 16gb id be happy for 4-5 yrs. now im stuck deciding to either grab 7900xtx or 4080super in few mnths??
i have a 3070 gonna skip the 4000 series/super and wait for a 5070 16gb ๐
The pricing is still all over the place…
You look like Toby Fox's cousin.
managed to pick up a 7900 xtx on sale for $799 last week. Wasn't sure if I would regret it with the Super announcements. Looks like I'm still doing well since thats the price point of the 4070 TI Super
Always watch your videos man. Keep up the great work โค
I built last year a fairly good pc with an i7 13700k, 32 gb of ddr5 ram, and all that jazz but skimped on the gpu and went with a 3060 ti in hopes the 40 series would be out soon and worth it.. but then they all came out very underwhelming and overpriced so I have been stuck using the 3060 ti for 1440p ultrawide gaming. I think the fact they lowered the 4080 super might make me go that route now finally. I am just annoyed they didnt up the vram to at least 20 gb, but 16 gb should still be good for at least the next 5 years, which is when I will probably do another upgrade.
AMD should drop the official price to 800 on the 7900xtx, 600 on the 7900xt, 400 on the 7800xt.
