  1. I don't want smart glasses to show me computer screens. Why do we need one more gadget showing us the same thing 20 other gadgets show. I want it to take the cameras on the corners to display what's in front of me at a distance in 3D on the lens. They need to be 8k cameras that zoom and focus, maybe even night vision, etc. It'll help everyone who can't see distance, way better than prescription glasses, even drive at night better.
I don't want or need another device to use apps, play games, or watch movies on.

  2. Really nice, Xreal company is walking a tight line but they REAAAALLY might just beat Apple to the curb with this one.
Spacial awareness and gesture input were the really few things missing on the previous iteration and now it's there.
Don't need to be some crazy capability or reinvent the wheel either, just be there and work smooth and decent like seems to be the case here..!!

Now, all they have to do is NOT f-up the software UX and abuse their pricing point and victory is assured. Im waiting for it so desperately, this multiscreen will be a life saver !
Hope we can use them long hours without eyestrain, motion sickness, headache and such

    Good job, anyway !

  3. Nreal Light supported spatial video. Quite something! How is it with these new ones?

  4. If I could just get a pair of smart glasses, that could use all the “basic” google features, such as google lens, translate and that stuff, I would be 100% sold. Would be so nice to be able to eliminate language barriers.

  5. I was a little confused when she was describing what she could see but we could see it from a bird’s eye view that included her. I’m guessing that they had another camera looking down on her that was linked to her glasses and could show the room roughly as she saw it, albeit from a different angle.

  6. I realise the design is supposed to look like "normal" glasses, but the fit is so far from normal they just look weird. What does it matter if they look like VR glasses, and fit and look … better?

  7. Paying $700 for a dev kit it pretty rich. And once pay them, Xreal wants you to help build out their OS for free? Good luck!

  8. better than vision pro, this is the future.

  9. The form factor still isn't quite there yet

  10. Smart tech, but fml it’s ugly.

  11. This is really cool

  12. Really one of the coolest things at CES this year are the augmented reality headsets. VR was never going to replace gaming, but the opposite is totally true. Being able to bring VR into reality and have it overlayed on top of reality with a HUD. Despite how interested these things are, almost no one is covering them and big companies aren't picking them up. What will really touch this off is when interfaces are standardized between Android/IOS and you can use your cell as a mobile computer.

The possibilities of technology like this really are limitless and we can expect to see people wearing these around on the day to day. Google glass was like the PDA of these things, the start of cellphones, but not quite there… and killed off before it did anything well.

  13. Wth is the brutha looking at?

  14. My favourite part about Xreal is how they never talk about resolution. They've had about 3 models and they are still stuck on 1080p. That is not useful for productivity environments or legible text. They need to get at least a 4K version with a higher FOV out.

  15. Will it have an app that you can run that can basically google translate in real time what you see on signs, papers, menus, and anything that you read. This would be good when traveling. Take it even further and if it can auto-translate what people are saying in real time and display it as subtitles.

  16. What are those?

  17. Can I use this while driving?

  18. can I use mt5 and tradingview for forex trading on the go ?

  19. too big

  20. It would be cool for games like hearthstone or Yugioh, seeing the characters come alive with their animation

  21. Yeah, but you look like a dork

  22. I bought Xreal air2 Pro, the concept is good but the edges are very blurry. Also you have to buy an extra device to fix the screen and not to mention the price is really high for this.

  23. Is this the Wish version of Vision Pro?

  24. I expected to see a live coverage like past years not few videos and shorts.

  25. Those look hilarious with how huge they are. Why even bother making them look like glasses at this point? Surely that just compromises the functionality.

  26. Wish you success on the path you have chosen🌹💝

  27. They look absolutely ridiculous

  28. There is this electric RV start up that just unveiled this weird RV at CES. It’s called AC Future

  29. Edges…. all we want to know if the edges are sharp or sharper now than other such glasses?

  30. I wear my sunglasses at night… 😎

  31. you were watching life of pi, despicable me, and avatar with those glasses on? 😮 isn't avatar by itself like 3 hrs? that's a reeeaaallly looong time with those glasses on, no food or bathroom breaks. 😫

  32. Not even close. High contrast and saturation for sure, but poor color reproduction and resolution.

  33. It would be really cool of you can play the x box or Playstation games buy having that on 😊

  34. After all those years of our parents yelling at us for sitting to close to the tv, we now are being sold on putting our eyeballs on the screen. 😂😂

  35. Real talk, all i want is Apple or someone to make something more useful, like a pair of glasses or goggles that has app or built in ability to correct vision without needing to get prescription. But i bet the eye doctors and places that make prescription lens would go out of business. So i see why the tech companies are not making this. I know they have the tech abilities to do it. Think of it as another feature like Apple has the health things like heart rate monitor and sleep monitor and to me helping ones vision would be a welcomed feature. Also lens color tint change per sun levels and light levels. All these things im positive could be done. But im not clueless to the results of this and how it could destroy all the eye businesses out there. But one can dream. ✌️

  36. Looks like those oversized clown sunglasses

  37. Apple glasses coming soon, with much better quality.

  38. Not even “kinda” like the Vision Pro.

  39. Typing would be by voice

  40. The pinch feels like a gimmick. It’s not enough fidelity of options.

You can switch to YouTube? Cool. Now what? Use just your fingers to select your history and a video from your history. And then, go ahead and look up a specific video by keyword.

You can pinch to select a screen to watch a movie? Great! How do you pause? Play? Skip back? Skip forward? Increase volume?

Let’s see you send an email.

The pinch is barely more than useless. The value of this is a monitor on your face. There’s no real augmented reality going on here. It’s a screen in the glasses.

This requires a real computer to do all the work, and it’s also going to require a mouse and keyboard for anything of substance.

  41. Black Mirror "PlayTest"

  42. Whoa
