Motherboards with all the connectors on the back- and cases that support them. They’re coming, despite a ton of challenges that I honestly didn’t think the industry would overcome. Corsair, Maingear, Gigabyte, ASUS- they’re all in the game, and the results are pretty cool.

1:03 Can the big brands agree?
3:15 what do we call this?
4:20 One case to support them all?
6:53 Who benefits from these??
8:40 GPU power
10:03 Why now?
12:13 BTW, look at this case!
13:11 outro
Deals for Days. Big home savings are happening now.
this is fixable only by the EU… should we ask them?
why not just have an adapter for the graphics cards that route the power to the back…like a rigid extender like we had with SLI and crossfire. with 3d printing taking off, it could be as easy as selling lengths of cable and 3d printed case for each graphics card.
1:00 Every set of 3rd-party replacement headphone pads I've ever tried (and I've tried quite a few) have drastically altered the sound quality of the headphones to the point of being virtually unusable. Cooling gel is nice, but how do they SOUND?
How in the world did a company patent something that they didn't make commercial products of?
Cool !
I can't believe Dennis would just drink ear sweat. I actually hurled
i love corsair products
Theee headphone pad ads are the worst thing I’ve seen on LTT so far. Completely obnoxious and disingenuous.
just make the entire tray replaceable/modular, and have mobo manufacturers provide the stamp-out.. easy
or just provide very solid anchor points for the 8-11 screws, and have the entire back open LOL
Man it's such a pity, that the manufacturer with the worst software (Corsair) has the best ideas all over. I told myself not to buy Corsair anymore… but it looks soo cool and clean 🙁 meh
What kind of AIO is he using?
My mATX-Board has the M.2 on the back, but it's a real PITA to change this, bc I have to REMOVE the complete board to replace the drive, should it be needed… the case has no cutout at all…
Please review the new 8k 3d tv just released 🙏 im commening on your most recent stuff hoping to get a review in return, thank you as your Inteligence never lacks hahaha forever may you continue to seek more knowledge and help other along the way, as youve helps me very much so along with purchases 😂 may you have a phenomenal life and stay in good health.
Honestly. Please just copy Apple. That whole PCIe power story is completely idiotic. You need 4 separate PCIe power cables for a nice GPU nowadays. Which leaves you hanging with a very ugly cable situation really fast.
To allow for future proofing, Corsair could implement a removable motherboard tray system. making all cases modular.
Can't wait until they start offering GPUs with this feature
I usually dont skip sponsor spots but I like to watch ltt while I eat… That wicked cushions and just ain't it chief
U.2 2.5" drives seem like the way
I hate it. I dont know why, But I hate it.
Oooh damn that's another case I hope to see reviewed by Hardware Canucks, because it is gorgeous
Power to gpu via motherboard is also good because the added connector gives more support to the gpu to distibute better the weight of this bricks.
Gosh! Can graphic card manufacturers just put power connector on the opposite side of their graphic cards?!
There is so much background noise in this video that it doesnt even make sense
Are we really locking videos behind a pay wall now….
Anyone else remember the old school YT days (Sigh)
And you still scratched your hands)
why is there SO much background noise?
3:52 that was extremely unexpected lol
In regards to Graphics Cards. Surely it wouldnt be that hard to have two SKUs. One for front. One for rear plugs. At least while the industry switches
I cannot afford a new one.
Linus media please help my laptop the Rx 580 4gb plus 1700 x is dead as it was dropped by my sister after use she put it on the end of her bed and pushed it off.since then I have struggled to have a great power connection.it has finally given up the ghost.i need a new PC.there are only AMD that I am interested in.i would like if possible the Alienware R1 18 to get the best out of the games from have.i have m.2 drives and I have a SSD that we can use.then and I have DDR 4 sodimms no problem.
I just want the cheapest new build PC with all new components ever.
No.
Ratio isn't 16:9 or 21:9. Fits neither of my monitors. Hmmm.
Any recommendations for a good pre built PC? I'm just not able to go and build my own at the moment so I'll have to go with a pre-built one. Thanks in advance for any recommendations
These standard desktop PC parts are now pretty much reserved for gamers and high end workstations which also need a GPU for modern workloads. So why don't we just have a motherboard standard the same size as ITX but with standardised back-of-board clearance for chips and connectors, with a right-angle PCI-e 16x slot behind the CPU? Then the whole case doesn't need the massive space around the CPU cooler which is usually wasted.
Why doesnt someone take the initiative and put graphics card power connectors on the bottom of the car so the face towards the cable management grommets? Its never made sense to me that they are on the top or pointing towards the front when 95% of installs have the card either vertical or horizontal where the cables either come from behind the mobo or from underneath the case.
They wouldn't need cutouts in the motherboard tray if they just didn't include one and instead put an extruded aluminium rail behind each row of motherboard screws.
Too bad wicked cushions doesn't have anything for JBL
I like that case and I love the concept of moving connectors to the back of the motherboard. It is nice to see that we seem to be approaching a standard for this. I am still skeptical of the idea of supplying the power through the motherboard because it creates complications, potentially adds cost, and in some situations still doesn't solve the problem unless they provide a power connection at each pcie slot, or at least for 2-3 of them.
It feels weird, I kind of am like hell yeah main gear, get yo money now when no one wanted to listen 10 years ago. At the same time, how many years has this patent genuinely caused us not to have this, if it's just a year or two maybe 3 ok, but 5+ years and that feels bad man.
Glancing over at my PC with cables showing. "Eh, I'd do it". I'm interested in what the backwards connector market looks like in… 4-5 years? Likely when I do a complete new build outside of stuffing a new GPU in my rig.
Corsair, other case manufacturers, PLEASE come out with cases that don't look like the O11. I've had mine since 2019 and am looking for the next unique thing to catch my eye, not just more of this. Like the Fractal Torrent. Make that but better. Thanks
i think the one major overdraw from the new 'btf' standard [if its actually gonna be publicized].is that we're now literally going back in time
we moved on from big zalman cases with like 5 drive bays just to go back to it just without the drive bays and more tempered glass instead
Shouldn't the whole BTF thing be FTB, I mean your moving from front to back not back to front 🤔
I’m glad this is patented and hope this doesn’t catch on 👎
Dennis is weird lol 😂
Anyone else like the look of cables? A nice fat sleeved 24 pin is so hot to me
