Nvidia has released 3 new GPUs this month, the 4070 Super, 4070 Ti Super and the 4080 Super. But are they worth the super name? Do they bring AMD to shame? How well do they game?

What is wrong with the microphone quality?
I was happy with my 1060 6gb for so long, that my new 4070 is good enough for me 😅
Not bothering watching this based on the comments mentioning the lack of 7900XTX comparison.. do better
Please stop putting background music in the videos, it's highly distracting and annoying. I couldn't watch the whole video because of it.
you guys finding anything at msrp?
Pc gaming is dead. Nobody should buy these space heaters lol. Every AAA game is a console port from heavily specialized hardware, it's stupid trying to brute force it with 2-3 times the power consumption
Weird release the 4080 super. The 4070 super is about 15% faster and a similar % more expensive where i am, than a 4070. Its like a tier of 4070, not competing with the 4070. The 4080 super is hardly faster and about the same price as a 4080 and more a 4080 replacement than tier of 4080.
Honestly, APUs at 1080P are getting REALLY good so it does make a certain amount of sense that the GPU market is yielding the low-end segment as a result.
Been waiting for a 4080 Super with 16GB and 10-20% more performance with a cut-down 4090, the A.I. chip "war" didn't let it happen, now I'm going with the 4070TiS as the 16GB VRAM bump is what I need for 4K gaming;
Funny enough I'm replacing my 2070S with it, so kinda poetic no? XD
Should the companies just slow down on releasing new and 'improved' models and focus on other things until tech catches up?
10:00 Bad data and bad graph sticks out like a sore thumb.
Comparing different makes and models from their own hotspot output is a grossly irresponsible comparison. Those thermistor groups are only calibrated with the accuracy required for relative power and fan control of it's own VBIOS, not for this form of analysis.
Graph also clearly shows outlier spikes, suggesting an issue with testing methodology.
Cropped Y axis and lack of error margins also makes a difference of 8°C look huge when it's functionally inconsequential.
I can't even really see why this is in the video in this context unless LTT is specifically trying to find a way to visually suggest "AMD cards run 20% hotter" without saying such a blatent misrepresentation.
With this rate how long 30-series card would last and viable. I don't see a reason for any one change until 2026 and if possible and feasible in working can push upto 2028
In most scenario it's only upto 30% bump on 30-series vs 40-series. DLSS 3.5 might boost but it's not native res 2k or 4k. 1080p mostly . seems 40-series looks to be a re-launch of 20-series pricing . When 50-series launch asking for 1kw psu not a viable for most. GPU's are consuming 2-4 times total system power not a optimised. I understand it's driving so much pixel and textures rendering for Smooth play. I didn't noticed when changing the setting downscaling res on DS2 actually lowered the power consumption by a considerable margin of upto 40% less usage. Future cards shouldn't demand more power from psu rather it has to be low power card with 1.5x upto 2x in terms of performance.
XTX omission from that charts is bizzare…
4080 super? more like 4080 super waste of money.
The labs team should consider updating the list of games they test their cards on to some newer more relevant games.
So to recap all graphics cards are either over priced and underpowered and its best to wait till the next gen arrive when you can tell us they are overpriced or underpowered. I shall stick with my 1080 and yes I should have waited for the 1080ti. Is it possible to buy any pc without buyers remorse?
Now that's a Lotta damage for nvidia
The 4070 Super was the only interesting card and they crippled the vRAM !
Super Pooper. You know NVidia are killing when they got to re-release the series (Cough 20 series !!) and give everyone those fake frames / fake gains baybayyyyyyy. Annnnnnnnnd Nickle and Dime loyal customers who lived through the dark times of Crypto with stingy amount of VRAM. Bring on 50 Series.
the 1080ti was that last good card that was made by nvidia
Been waiting to upgrade looking at this seems like I'm now between the 4070ti super or 7900xtx. Still can't decide honestly.
I am happy to see that you finally started to include ML benchmarks in GPU evaluations (IMHO RTX4090 makes no sense without it), but I still don't think you do justice of how much of a driver it is in a purchasing decision NVIDIA is optimizing for. There are not a lot of people who can justify getting a 2500$ gaming laptop. A gaming laptop that doubles as a worktop? Sure. You actually need the power for Blender/IDE/compilation? well, 3500$ seems reasonable all of a sudden.
The same transition is taking place with ML, that everybody sees as essential to their future career, so they are willing to put the money in high-end GPUs, and NVIDIA is giving them a reason to go for the best and the latest.
How about showing the price in the video for more than 5 seconds? I'm not that interested in this in general, but wanted to know the value. Had to scroll through the video like 10 times before I saw it. At least have it in the end summary.
i am keeping my GTX 1080 liquid Metal cooled, seems like there is nothign to repalce it yet for a decent price…
These graphs look slick, so nice! Thanks for the extra effort in testing and preparing this!
Imagine getting new Nvidia card in 2024 with those prices. Lol, lmao even.
Oh wow, everybody here missew the xtx amd card^^
LMG really not at the top of their game… except when it comes to selling screwdrivers. Where is 7900 xtx?
The super is not about performance increase, it’s about relaunching at 200$ less
Nvidia obviously paid them well not to directly compare the 4080 Super to the 7900 XTX on the charts. This channel can't get any lower.
NVIDIA couldn't care less about gaming customers now, they used to be their bread and butter but now it's a sliver of their income.
I liked my own comment 😢
7900 xtx ?! Who decided to not include it and why?
Lazy video. Do better.
Not acceptable …how can you miss the 7900 XTX in your graphs …
LTT we thought we got over bad and misleading reviews. BUT WHERE THE F*CK IS THE 7900XTX ????????????
nVidia really missed the mark with this, especially for their own pocket. Last time a 'SUPER' range was released the absolute king was the 1660 SUPER which was (possibly even still is) the most widely used card across PC gaming worldwide. Something like a 3050 SUPER right now would be a colossal seller.
Using russian propaganda for benchmarking, nicely done!
Can’t believe 500 bucks is close to „budget“ gaming nowadays 0.0
