Honestly when I want a clear quick review I’ll always check out the LTT video, if I want super large testing and inclusion of tons of comparisons, I go to gamers nexus.
I have been watching this stream both eyes glued… I am usually gaming but was just drawn to the convo this WAN show. Good show as always.

well-known retro YouTuber LGR has a tower case build full of weird 5.25" drive bay items.
Respect your opinion but you are still objectively wrong to not include the 7900xtx as one of the cards in the review (4080super) is close or the same price.
And your argument of claiming you tested 11 cards dosn't make any sense objectively either. You bundled 3 new cards that launched. All you had to do was text 6 cards total. 3 new ones and 3 other ones from team red at the same or as close to the same price point( this would include the 7900xtx and reduce the workload)
This is all objectively speaking. Just wrong
2:23:20 Bro, you can disable internet search in search in settings (it’s either in settings or in wintoys, amazing app xd).
Lol Lukes dad… More of a hardcore gamer than half of us
2:40:38 "If it was Windows-based developers…" There's been a Windows-based MR headset for nearly a decade, and its first version still makes Apple Vision look like a cheap Nintendo VR headset from the 80s. Why don't you guys get a Hololens and showcase *that*? The same problem still applies – the price is too high for people to justify buying one.
But in the case of Hololens, the technology is fairly mature and I'm confident MS could get the price down to flagship cell phone territory. They just don't want to.
Give Lukes parents free floatplane!
Buy the horse, and put a computer in it!
The franchise that has let me down is the Command & Conquer franchise. We got the crap that is C&C4, we got crappy mobile games, Generals 2 got canceled, we got epic remasters of C&C and RA but nothing since (despite how popular those remasters were and how many copies they have sold) and EA doesn't seem interested in giving C&C fans what they want (which for me is either a new mainline PC C&C game that doesn't suck or more remasters that are as good as the first ones).
Best WAN show ever ❤
2:19:37 what did Linus originally say here? Looks like it was cut out…
Yo that was some ad-ception. While your Manscape ad was running I got a jaring Youtube ad for some beatsaber exercise like BS that I can't remember what it was cause it was an ad. Dude. Ads witrhin ads. WTF?
I know Luke can't say it, but I'm OK with AI voice acting in RPGs. Take Elder Scrolls Online, for example. They use movie actors for some of the main voices like Kate Beckinsale, John Cleese, Malcom McDowell, Bill Nighy, and others. This game has been going for 10 years now. I imagine it's very expensive if not impossible to get these same actors a full decade later if they want to add new DLC featuring these characters. Then, what happens if one of them dies while the game is still active? I think the less controversial take may be the number of voices that get reused. There's probably thousands of NPCs in ESO. There's no way they have a thousand voice actors. Just like Fallout and the single player Elder Scrolls games, you end up with many NPCs being voiced by the same actors which kinda hurts the experience imo. Either supplement the actors with AI voiced NPCs, or just use AI altogether. Hate to say it, but AI is eventually going to come for many of our jobs, and we'll have to learn new skills to continue working. It's how it's always been when new tech is invented.
No idea if anyone will even see my comment. In 2024, Linus just bans anyone that has a take he doesn't like.
On my PC, Win 11 Pro 22631.2428, sleep shows sleep settings in Settings submenu, is it a regional thing? I'm in Australia
Chevy needs to bring back what is hands down the best car they released since the early 70’s the SS.
For the love of all things human and tech PLEASE PLEASE STOP EATING NEAR THE MIC!!!! Some of us have Misophonia and hearing you chew and speak after eating significantly decreases the quality of this otherwise professional podcast. And it makes me want to through my headphones out a window.
Ya f**k ICBC
Say what you will about EV's in their current state, but I really think for passenger vehicles at least EV's are the solution ONCE we come up with energy storage that is less precious metal intensive. Hydrogen electric hybrids that see very little fuel cell use other than road trips, maybe, but in their current state fuel cell's are a consumable item with way lower lifespans than batteries. Not to mention hydrogen fuel cell based vehicles are already EV's but with small battery packs you can't charge yourself.
I work with commercial fuel cell based industrial equipment on a daily basis, and if that is anything to go by, we are nowhere near ready for it. The fuel cell stacks fail constantly, were talking 1, 1.5 year lifespans MAX, random failures without warning, and with the amount of precious metals they require to produce its just not practical.
For heavy use trucks and equipment I could see it working where those costs can be absorbed better, but the kind of low reliability and high cost i see is just not viable for general consumers.
The subscriptions thing is the same on phones, but is not immediately obvious. It does point out to go to your username on your phone (which is the same in terms of clicking on your user name and subscriptions).
I'm gonna live with the forest things 😂😂😂

3D SCAN LINUS AND THEN 3D PRINT LINUS!
But you might not need a very large 3D printer for that. lol
linus fidgeting with the screwdriver at the end of the podcast is not only extremely obvious but probably the most compelling plug ive ever seen
Sony phones are crap if you can't change the DPI in the developer settings with a 4K screen on a damn phone!
I mean… SERIOUSLY? Are you sure Dan?
On the subject of Windows having ads and sponsored search results:
I personally negate all of this on initial install. All ads, telemetry, and forced online account. I used to purge all of these things back in Windows 10 through manual registry edits that I eventually turned into a batch script on a flashdrive. With my recent transition to Windows 11, I instead use Chris Titus Tech's custom installer guide and a few additional tweaks using WinAero Tweaker. From there I shadowcopy the OS and if there are any problems I'll either System Restore Point, or restore from shadowcopy. All else fails, I have another flashdrive that mirrors my personal user folder so I can retain a copy of all my personal files should I need to full-reinstall. But I digress… point is that I don't see ads on my Windows 11 because I removed them. It's not hard to do, but it is absolutely wrong that they aren't opt-out without registry "hacking" the OS.
Still using a GTX1080, and games still run, cyberpunk 60-90+
