Side note: Donations are in my channel's about page. 🙂
14:50 They’ll know. the same way they know that nearly no one uses VGA anymore. Maybe the monitor manufacturers cant collect data now, but the smart device you’re connecting to it does. so someone is collecting the data.
If displayport supports CEC and eARC (dunno if it does) – and HDCP. Then manufacturers wouldn’t have a reason to not include DP support on TVs
3.04.2024 Yuzu folded and will pay 2.4 M to settle the lawsuit – source the verge
HP printer subscription is wild from an e waste perspective. anyone in that target demographic should be using public shared printers anyways. in japan they have them in every convenience store but it never took off in america
God, I feel 22:45 so much. I maintain an expensive Netflix subscription for myself, my girlfriend, my mom, and my brother. I have to pay extra for my mom and brother because they don't live with me.
I have a sideloaded Firestick that I use. It would be far cheaper to set Firesticks up for my mom and brother than to keep paying for Netflix. However, they aren't tech savvy and the prospect of having to teach them to use Real Debrid makes me sigh and continue paying for Netflix.
I love you mentioned laser printers i have a 8yr old brother b&w laser and its amazing it never lets me down ive replaced cartridge once. Never a drum. Enough said.
Has i fix it ever taken off bottom on lenovo legion pro 7. Shit insanity.
On the topic at 2:50:00 About videos being worse now. I do agree with Linus they are the same, but also not. I miss the old way the reviews were with GPUs and CPUs, tbh though I blame the market more than LMG. I also know I have changed in ways, I notice repeat jokes aswell. Which is fine, I have no problem with it, but it does mean enjoyment goes down. Nothing LMG can do to change this. However the style, the what, the who, and the why have remained the same in a good way.
I do not however agree with everything Linus said. The last AMD tech upgrade for Kyle wasn't S tier it was B-A tier. I just don't really care for the upgrades and that is opposite from most people. However what was S-tier was the XMP550, sure it wasn't funny, but I learned and found the tech cool. And to me that matters much more in a video. For others it is the opposite. I do love funny and odd stuff, like the deadmau5 tour was amazing.
Although I have 0 info to help Linus if there was a problem because I am not a video expert and I don't know content. If I had to ask someone for opinion on my videos(IF I made them), then I would be looking towards Linus not myself.
Not buying HDMI cables is dumb, we need HDMI cables it's BS… we need a better connector and that's USB-C with displayport.
It would be nice if LTT offered bulk buying for cheaper prices. : Like, a 5+ pack would make more sense money wise.
it’s been about 8 years but my brother model looks like that one and it still works great. I’ve replaced the toner once. I’ll never go back to ink.
Yeah, photos are better when printed with ink, but I spend enough time and money on photography if I’m getting a print it’ll be done by professionals and I’ll probably be comparing samples beforehand 💀
HDMI is the last cable i want to use on a PC (fine for my TV). I would rather use antiquated VGA than HDMI.
Rip Yuzu they already said their they're shutting their emulator down😢
25:49 Lamp oil, rope, BOM.
Legit i wish my gf would get a more expensive monitor because the number of times she looses display because the hdmi cable slipped out ever so slightly (or fully) and simply having a Display port with locking connector would fix this.
Fck HDMI bring back yellow red and white
HDMI ON Linux, perhaps EUROPE kicks in here again to save us 😂
Whenever Luke rages about Pokémon Go, it’s always good to remember he lives in a temperate area that is never crazy hot or crazy cold, with a pretty nerd friendly community, and lots of Pokémon/stops/gyms scattered around areas that are enjoyable to walk around.
I agree with the premise of what he’s saying, but the reality is it’s -25 before the windchill where I am and the only alternative is to go to the mall and walk laps there while your avatar on the screen bugs out and darts around uncontrollably and if you want to raid you have to drive around the city and hope someone else shows up (they typically won’t) so you end up not able to participate in raiding.
Never mind that community day is geared towards people who work m-f jobs and students (screw you person that has to work weekends) and the game is plagued with bots that control gyms with spoofed locations.
But he is right – if you can get a cool little group to roam around and do stuff together, sure: it’s fun.
How feasible would USB-4 with Thunderbolt 4 support be as an HDMI replacement? 240 W power delivery can power most TVs and consoles, alternate mode with DisplayPort and Ethernet support, a reversible connector (maybe with an updated port with the option of hooks like DisplayPort), etc. Instead of a power bar, power cables, HDMI cables, and Ethernet cables hanging off the back of your TV stand you could have a Thunderbolt 4 hub providing all those things to each device with a single cable each.
Why is HDMI private now. It's gross.
they need to fix their damn mics, sounds like dogshit, too much gain and added bass like bro, chill….
pfff more merch messages, sponsor and trash talk than real tech talk, big fat thumbs down !!!!
Play ingress, can't weasel out from going out
Best pc buy I ever made was a Xerox P8e black laser printer in 1999 for £129
It lasted for years with only one toner replacement.
There were no official windows XP drivers, but the Windows 2000 ones worked. What killed it in the end was me switching to Windows 7. There were just no drivers that worked.
Hate HP Printers
Life is so meaningless, so fake, so evil, how can we pretend to be humans while there is an active genocide taking the life of more than 10 000 children in less than 150days, how can we wake up every day acting normal, feeling normal! Nothing is normal about losing child every 15 minuts, don't we have children of our own! We are all complicit in our lack of action and silencess….this madness! Don't hate me, what can i do other than breaking this false normalness, life is meaningless if we don't value the living!!
Fu*k Nintendo, fuck their lawyers, fuck their executives, and fuck their board. They shut down Yuzu and Citra today. And boy, how much I hope their Switch 2 games sales hit all time lows.
Imagine living in an area with zoning. Houston area laughs at you
That article on the Brother printer @ 2:28:30 is probably spot on lol. My Epson EcoTank has a more than half full tank of magenta but the nozzles are probably clogged. No amount of cleaning made my prints better. Epson is among the best Inkjet printers that just work. But laser printers would save me SO MUCH time troubleshooting, This Epson printer has worked for about 4 years without issue on the same ink. But the laser printer would've worked for much longer and be more reliable. So my next one will probably be a laser printer and maybe the last printer I need!
My Epson ECO tank literally printed for two days straight when I went to court with my government. STILL ink in the tank to print more! Literally thousands of pages. I think there were 4 of those boxes of paper. Yeah. It got rowdy.
Its wild how 'repairable' is now a selling feature
01:26:26 I think I felt the quake today
If anyone knows of a chipset that converts DP to HDMI and isn't made by Parade, I'm struggling to get away from my IC dealer
IMO the Vision Pro BOM is reasonable but the design decisions made are superfluous.
As of the time I am watching this, yuzu just died
HDMI is the epitome of technological lock-in. No practical reason we still use it.
Gracias
HP printers: spend half your monthly allotment of prints trying to align print heads and adjust something after you've already printed something with a problem. One could fuel a starship with my hatred for consumer HP Printers.
If you print often the best laser printer is one with availability of 3rd party toner and drums. 3rd party toner is literally 1/10th the cost of the official toner carts for my brother laser. It’s been running fine for over 10 years with not one single issue.
"Hit me" would result in a right jab.
I could see Dan giving Linus a SlugBug, though…
HP is nuts. For 7 dollars (converted to my local currency) I can print around 300 pages (black& white, 2 sided) at my local xerox shops. And even if I don't convert, and use 7 RON, I can still print more than 50 pages.
I can't speak for Canada, but in the U.S. it's more common for the hotel to have some kind of laundry services than not. I stay at a hotel about once every 3 months for a week and have only stayed at one with absolutely nothing Another gave me a laundry bag and charged 5 bucks to wash, dry and fold. The rest have all had machines on site for 2 to 3 bucks each. Maybe it's less of a thing in extremely touristy areas like Vegas?
If Nintendo focused on getting their games on multiple platforms such as pc, they wouldnt have this problem. Its not 1980's anymore but Nintendo's CEO's still think it is. Just an assumtion but Nintendo would be top of steam charts consistantly if this was the case.
I was able to get locked into the HP free plan. I get free replacement ink but limited to 15 free prints a month.
Great videos this year so far well done LTT team I do love watching all videos with stuff I can't afford 👍😎
2:23:00 geez Luke is such a huge buzz kill ingress player 😒
Let's make a new name for HDMI cables so they don't violate the trademark
