Comments

  1. bluetooth cannot deliver hi-res [24/192], wired only with a dac/amp….

  2. I use the Soundcore Q30. It has a really good sound. At the time of purchase, I did run to Best Buy and tried the Sony XB cans and Sony 700 series and JBL 650. I liked Soundcore better. They do good quality ANC, but it's not Bose 700 level. I love the Soundcore 18 month warranty with good support in N. America. Q45 is their current top tier.

  3. Interesting and informative video!!
When can we expect the review of the new Sennheiser Momentum TW 4 ear buds??

  4. This has to be the most pointless video on youtube!
We learn NOTHING apart from how to waste a few minutes. And what were you attempting?
If you have no idea what to post next to do next may I suggest you post nothing

  5. These are not premium headphones… this is budget vs consumer grade.

  6. I am using a bose from around 5 years back. And it's working awesome. Except some tear here and there

  7. Beats Studio Pro is my favorite headphone. I'm not saying that is the best one out there but for the price-point and quality I think the consumer gets great value

  8. I’ll stick with my Sony WH-1000XM4’s without question although I have to admit I prefer the look of the XM5’s way better but I got the XM4’s because I HATE the “adaptive ANC”. Call me crazy but when I put on ANC I want my ANC on at 100 AT ALL TIMES.

  9. How could you not compare the other 2 sets, and the battle for the overall winner? What a waste. Thumbs down.

  10. 🎧

  11. Buy once cry once! I bit the bullet and got the Bose QC25 headphones 10 years ago and they are still functioning like the day I got them! Great headphones that I would highly recommend to anyone who travels a lot or works in environments that you want to block out the sound around you and enjoy your music! I can only imagine the newer models have gotten better!

  12. Where are Abrar & Jessica? 😢

  13. The truth is most people have no idea what good sound quality actually is.

I’m a sound engineer, the difference in audio quality between $350 headphones (Sennheiser/Sony/Bose) and the sub $100 headphones is far more than just a 25% improvement.

The difference is night and day. I’d put it at a rough estimate of being at least 5 times better. As well as being better built, more durable, having better noise cancellation, being more comfortable etc.

  14. can we have headphones with easily replaceable batteries ? Battery life will be the most common reason to throw perfectly good headphones away. Built-in non-replaceable batteries is built-in obsolescence these days. We throw away electronics for that reason wether it is headphones, keyboards, wireless mice, etc. We need legislation to stop this.

  15. AirPod Max>>

  16. I do not understand how and why and Bang and Olufson that never make it to these lists, Beoplay Portal PC/PS is better than all of these!!

  17. This video was excellent!! Do wireless ear buds next!
I'd love to see more of these high-end vs. low-end comparisons!

  18. I currently own Sony WH1000MX5 the only problem I have that these headphones seem to focus on the outside noise even if you have selected noise cancelling, specially if ruffling things around like a bag or other objects keys etc, the reason why I bought them it was due to Spatial Audio I did not want to fork $500 on a pair of headphones that are similar to the rest, despite of the ecosystem.

  19. I'd recomend the Soundcores but that is as low as I would go.

  20. Great choice with ADTR

  21. OMG I'm dumb. "Thank you."

  22. bought my sonys used have had for years plan on replacing the battery if possible and just keep going

  23. Focal Bathys are where it's at $699, best value out there for wireless noise canceling headphones.

  24. Definitely need to add the sonoflows to this test and to test the noise cancelling performance with all these blind testers

  25. When I need quality sound I go with low price WIRED Sony.

  26. I like blind tests like this. They eliminate some of the subjective biases that come from name brand recognition. Would love to see more of these types of controlled, panel testing, especially for consumer electronics that have a lot of subjectivity in terms of fit or quality.

  27. what do they win?

  28. Interesting “blind taste test,” so to speak!

I’ve been using Sony WH-1000XM2-4 for eons, and I have yet to find a better combination of noise cancellation and flat response. The Bose headphones I’ve tried once or twice maybe did a little better noise-cancellation-wise, but they tended to color the sound of the music considerably more than the Sonys.

That being said though, I’m pretty impressed with Apple’s AirPods Pro and Max, but I haven’t used them enough to make a clear comparison to the Sonys.

  29. I wish you didn't let them touch the headphones before the sound test. Them knowing it feels cheap probably has influenced the sound as well

  30. Tara Brown is the MVP! 🎉🎉❤❤

  31. I have the Soundcore Q30's. they sound great for the price but the cups have broken twice and have had to replace them which isnt super expensive but just an annoyance. I wouldnt mind checking out the Soundcore Space Ones to compare as they dont look too expensive.

  32. I'm glad people agree with me that Sony has made some poor design and material choices with the WHXM5. It just looks and feels cheap. If money's tight, Sony's discontinued XBA series earphoness are often isolating enough for bus travel, sound much better than wireless, and their cables last for years. I have a $230 pair in its 9th year, that's $25 a year for top sound.

  33. Wow she’s got quite an ear 👂, nailed everything

  34. Thanks, I live next to a highway, and I have narrow ear canals so anykind of in- ear listening does not work for me. I don't need total noise cancelation. So budget-wise, my choice has been a lower end headphone, and for my last 2, Sony has been my choice. The first pair I wore until the padding (which was and is comfortable) wore out – I'd say about 4 or 5 yrs. Second pair is about 2 1/2 yrs old and doing fine. What I don't care for in either is ears sweating in the heat. That'sin-house or outside. The band on the newer one is more comfy, and can be adjusted off the head, when I care about that. Phone sound quality is acceptable, I'd say a 7-8 on a 1-10 scale. I'm not comparing it to a high end. Thanks for the review. It was helpful.

  35. Love all the shirts you wear. Nice and crisp

  36. The Best Audio Tech Developer. Sony!!! 👍🏻😎👍🏻

  37. I have been using the XM3s for 4 years now. A little bit worn out, but still great to use for work..if I can change the foam pads I can use them with no complaints forever.

  38. Yeah…this review was pretty awesome!

  39. What a nice comparison, would definitely see the budget options

  40. Thanks, much needed review!
