@3:05 does this model (or the m1 model) work on the new magic keyboard with media keys? Apple website says for the M4 models only. Aside from forcing people to buy the new model, I dont understand any other reason why such keyboard requires an m4 chip to have access to these features. I hope im wrong. Because of all the things that the keynote showed, the new keyboard is the only thing im really interested of buying.

It is certainly a huge upgrade from the 2018 iPad Pro model. And the fact that you can use the Apple Pencil pro on the air model without having to get the ordinary Apple Pencil

I believe Apple is not going to make many of these iPads because they know they won't sell as much, since most people will opt for the older generation at a lower price.
They should have put M3 chip in the iPad Air but the performance gains between M3 and M4 probably weren’t big enough to do that

I was thinking of updating my 8th gen iPad and looked at the current versions and knew about this event. Instead of waiting I just picked up a M2 13" Macbook Air for $850. I've had a few iPads over the years and this is my first Mac. I just don't see a use case for the 13" iPad Air when the Macbook Air exists. $800 and then what $250 for a magic keyboard? Macbook comes with 256gb as well.

The so called “11 inch iPad Air” has the exact same screen size and resolution as the previous 10.9 iPad Air😂 The display is still 2360×1640 pixels at 264ppi and the overall size is still 9.74″ x7.0.2″ x0.24″.
apple is even more confusing now with their ipads and macs with only difference in availability of touchscreen while crippling the other with crap OS only good for app use

Been using my iPad Pro max 12.9 for 3 years and it’s my favorite tablet. If the new iPad Air doesn’t have the same or better speakers though that is going to be a mistake because that’s a great feature.
