Comments

  1. What's the game @ 20:05?

  2. I've got the Cooler Master Praetorian, a slightly newer name for the ATC201. Yes, it has incredible build quality. But it's heavy as sin.

  3. I played the fuck out of earthseige 2 with my grandfathers pc and sidewinder. He had the pentiums as they came out just so he could play doom, duke nukem, wolfeinstiens, and his all time faviorette the delta force seires. I still have his last rig just to play dfx2 online. He was insanly good rocking inverted controls with a trackball and a cyber sniper fps keyboard.

  4. At the time I was rocking an AthlonXP 1700+ under phase change cooling that ran at 3GHz. Needless to day I had no issues pushing 1600×1200 at 85Hz.

  5. Saying a little about my age… first thing when they started "Return to castle Wolfenstein" – my mind "That not so long ago" 😉

  6. God I miss the look of fully populated expansion slots and green PCBs

  7. 20:52 linus warcrime tips

  8. I had that soundcard 🙂 I used it with full surround. It could do some cool stuff to audio CDs

  9. linux tech tips

  10. Brings me back! Thank you for doing this

  11. Maybe you can bring back the Ricer PC with this?

  12. Sweet! Nice! Fans in three places. Removable motherboard tray, Nice! I like your grandpa's 4 channel rack stereo. I had sony table top 5.1 surround sound system in early 2000's

  13. Bad Ass but I will One-Up you on the case. I still own an originally owned Coolermaster ATC 111-SX1 with a cut out window (hacked) and aluminum door to hide the bay drives. Still up and running with the last build on it being an Intel Q6600 and Nvidia GTX 970. It's Show and tell relic…

  14. as a 37 year old i really loved this video. obviously i could never afford these either, but drooling over pc game magazines brought back some vivid memories. love it

  15. We’re back in 2000’s again.

  16. the p3 was better 🙂

  17. I'm still trying to picture you hauling shit up the garden

  18. Back then – I opted for the Athlon XP because of Price per Perfomance mattered more to me. As well as a Full Gigabyte of RAM with 64MB Geforce 4 GPU!!
All so I could play the upcoming Jedi Outcast !!!

  19. Dammit I'm going to have to reinstall RTCW now. Though I remember having a separate card just for PhsyX to work in later years to add to my AGP card.

  20. on todays episode of "Linus Commits a Warcrime" we rediscover the art of gunning down parachutes
