  1. Hey guys, when this video launched, it contained some erroneous information due to unit conversion errors that made the van's existing lead acid batteries sound like they had a lot less capacity compared to the DJI lithium batteries. We have cut that info from the video (apologies if you can detect a couple weird cuts).

In the end, the DJI batteries are used to power the gaming elements, while the lead acid batteries power the van's functions. Altogether, Emily has effectively double the watt hours compared to before the project: the lead acid batteries are 400Ah x 12V = 4800Wh, but you can only use roughly 50% of the capacity of a lead acid battery, giving us a useable 2400Wh from those two batteries- plus the 2048Wh we get from the two DJI Power 1000s.

  2. I just ordered some of the magnetic cable management power brick holders, and I plan to use one for a battery pack holder on my legion go. I hope it works out.

  3. Not the gendered thumb screws!

  4. Good to see that LTT has a real Emily, not a pretend one.

  5. Why waste energy on RGB in a camper?

  6. PIMP MY RIDE IS BACK BABY

  7. I have a single question how are they supposed to use the projector while in bed? Was there no solution thought about for movies in bed?

  8. touching the grass linus style

  9. Linus: gets blamed for something nope is yours!

  10. Those house batteries ain't going to last long at all…..they need to be way more secure

  11. always in tranzit my favorite weapon is the ak from barn atop the lab

  12. this is a crash safety nightmare

  13. If the vans a'rockin don't come a knockin'

  14. ~$2000 Van
    ~$10000 PC
~$15 Padlock on the Van. OR Stock Van locks…
There's a reason you don't stick expensive things in vehicles that are so easily broken into. This things a bad idea, just saying.

  15. I am going to be sad when Linus retires. 😩

  16. You could probably dock a steam deck or ROG Ally to a mouse, keyboard, and monitor and be so well off-

  17. You can tell which one is Linus's because his is the only one that took off the peel.

  18. The real Pimp My Ride

  19. That PC @26s looks perfectly bent to fit in the gear tunnel of my Rivian R1T. Free video idea for you. There's even a power outlet in there…

  20. all those potential puns at the start, and the van's not even a Ford

  21. Look gay :3

  22. 25:19, letting Alex have unrestricted access to the workshop paid off

  23. Linus makes that camper look so spacious.

  24. I grew up watching Pimp My Ride and it was disappointing to learn the truth behind it. I'm liking this Pimp My Camper Van alternative.

  25. Should have gone with the Corsair SF750 PSU. That coolermaster one is loud AF

  26. As a europleb i think its super weird that they sold the Mercedes Benz Sprinter under the Freightliner and Dodge brand in north america.

  27. There are Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePO4) batteries that are drop-in replacements for lead acid batteries. They are about half the weight of lead acid while also providing more capacity in the same volume. They can upgrade their batteries while keeping the rest of the system unchanged. However, LiFePO4 batteries need to be kept above freezing temperatures if you plan on using them otherwise, they can get permanently damaged.

  28. should use a dc-dc gan power supply so they can skip losing efficiency from running a pointless inverter just to feed ac to an ac-dc power supply

  29. At what point did LTT turn into Pimp My Ride, someone is looking for a royalty payment

  30. Curious about what Tom Scott was right about?

  31. Imagine if you controlled the direction of the fans, then you could use it as a heater for the van

  32. Any concerns about vibration of the bulb in the projector given that it didn't appear to have any rubber gromets or anti-vibration put in place?

  33. Can you guys talk about dc to dc power supplies? The car outputs dc and the computer needs dc why do we have a middle step of convert to ac? There are car 12 volt plugs to charge a laptop and then that battery is used to power the computer. Why can't we do this for a large desktop with 1000 or more watts straight from a battery? If the computer will always be in a vehicle a automotive-12volt to battery to pc-12 volt power supply is would skip the inefficiencies of dc to ac to dc.

  34. can I have a pc

  35. 1000s of miles traveled on unpaved roads and with square tires.

  36. housing here in england is high so its nice to know i have options to keep my gaming going 😉

  37. IS THAT A FULL METAL SCREWDRIVER?!?!

  38. should have gone 4070 super… come on guys..

  39. Heeyyyyy, ZenScreen! It's a godsend for RV living, I use it for my work daily. Would love to see Linus do reviews of portable monitors because the space is a bit of no Man's land

  40. 22:05 Linus, as someone who works there, I've played the rest of the game more than you've played just those two levels. Get on my level buddy.

  41. DJI make battery banks now!?

  42. My Vanlife setup of the past 6 years has a better PC setup for vanlife with solar. Disappointed they didn't build or buy a DC to DC Power supply. Wasting a ton of power on DC->AC->DC inversions, and that little power bank is not going to last long if you're actually living in your van and gaming regularly, especially with a 4070. Well, the way they got around this is having a whole extra, expensive, battery bank that's just for the PC. totally unrealistic, adds a huge cost, and most importantly, your solar now has more battery than it could probably charge. Adding more batteries doesn't get you more power, adding more solar panels does. They're more worried about vibrations than power sustainability.
