Elderscrolls weren't be as popular as it is today if it weren't for modding. The perfect combo for game sales is easy to buy and a good price plus long term playability (which mods infinitely extend). Software devs need to realize that the stories they make in games are not just theirs. Every player makes the story their own. That is why hats and skins sell in free to play games. Devs make the setting, gamers make the game.

… I don't think that Nintendo is pursuing its fans for financial reasons, but rather its probably a question of principle: The Japanese are a very prideful people with a deeply ingrained understanding or respect and honor. Seeing wonky adaptations not rarely badly and differently than originally intended working on under-performing hardware without paying respect to the original creators, might actually be hurtful to them.

Here's another problem which I've experienced first hand, I bought a second copy of mariokart online for my sons Switch and after playing his console was banned, after reaching out to nintendo support they told us the reason, and despite providing them with the ebay receipt of sale ect it fell on deaf ears.
I reached out to the ebay seller, and they accepted the return who wanted to send out another copy of the game, but asked for a refund instead.

So it's buyer beware when buying secondhand games online now I guess.

For Nintendo buying used games is worth than pirating, be assured you get banned if your used game got dumped.

Also, do s guide on dual booting stteam deck with windows to support game pass. Don't know what I was thinking getting the deck, well, the deck is/ was way cheaper but since I'm just getting into gaming, game pass is great to try games till I like something. From my limited research, dual boot is somewhat complex, with controls being tricky.

if nintendo sold their old games without being scummy they wouldn't have a piracy problem. I want to play the old pokémon games without having to buy multiple expensive & outdated systems to play it on. But yeah Nintendo has a half-assed solution by locking it behind the e-shop. The scummy part is you can't play it if your subscription runs out despite buying the games at full price… as long as nintendo stays scummy we'll keep pirating.
