Do you think we'll see more deadbolts that unlock with your biometrics? ✋👍👁
For $350 an extra battery is the least of what should be included with this lock
Well can it be used with Android phones..? You seem to only talk about these devices with using Apple products
Not to sound all tin foil hat but did you try using videos of your face and your palm to see if it could trick it or not? Thanks for all the great videos!
Nice! I highly recommend checking out the Yale locks. I’ve had the Assure one for 2 years and it auto locks/unlocks with phone or watch nearby or you can lock it by putting your hand over the screen like the old Apple Watches. Also, it takes 4 AAs 😂
Lockley is cool but I do not understand why they have a keyway. Makes it less secure and is pointless given the biometric and code options it has.
Hello… Greetings from India🇮🇳. I Love your content so much
I have a request.
Can you please make a video on how to install and run home assistant on an android device with termux.
It will be very helpful
I am super skeptical about handing over biometric data to smart device companies. But there's no denying that the tech is really cool.
The August lock unlocks when it senses your iPhone as you approach. I use it every day.
Id rather just use my apple watch
Reed, would you consider replacing your Schlage smart lock with either of these? Seem like Schlage has not done anything new in years. Yale still has not come with their Matter or Zigbee modules.
Did you get either of these into HA?
Killing me with these new products! Immediately after watching, I find myself driving to a Home Depot 30 mins away who has a facial recognition deadbolt lock in stock that I don’t need….but I want
Non of this work on SmartThings?
I like your speed comparison. Not as fast as the u50’s NFC card and Apple key, but they are respectable.
Have you tried asking your wife to use her palm/face on those locks? or maybe a brother that looks more like you and see if it tricks the face reader (or even the palm reader if the palm is similar size to yours).
Do they work when the internet is down or the power is out? Think that's info to include in all of these reviews.
Nobody ever tries someone else's palm or face or thumb after registering their own (like a sibling or parent or just someone that looks like you).
I’d suggest using your other hand if the lock is on the right. I appreciate this might have been for filming but it’s way better to stand in front of the door instead of standing next to it.
The more pop culture references the better. May this video live long and prosper.
IMHO palm is worthless. If my hands need to be empty, I might as well put in a code, fingerprint, tap watch, tap to unlock, get out my phone and unlock it, use a key.
Wyze lock already does this Auto-Unlock automatically unlocks your door when you arrive home.
If you want the camera, then the Lockly Vision Zeno Series Deadbolt is the model you'll want.
wifi/no-hub is good. do you need to create an account and have your face, palm, wifi ssid (and all of the neighbors wifi ssids) uploaded?
