Linus if you're not going to do rog rig reboots anymore then build me a pc, I have a desktop without a graphics card and 200W power supply for over a year now
So refreshing to see someone in the North American continent with interest in proper competitive badminton.

My exerience is that you have to meny diffrent contractors
And every one is the cheepest one with no margins in the project

To be fair, xibo is great. I wouldn't make my player a cheap TCL tho.

Why is LTT building a Badminton Court?
Bring back the August 2014 YouTube intro ❤
Getting prime while its under a lawsuit for both to much coffeine and other things in their bottle and also due to the Olympic bit risky move aint it?
View from the observation deck blocked by lights.. unless you're sitting down.. and then it's blocked by the railing.. Could raise the lights a little, but then they'll blast the people in the observation deck… hmm..
You should name it WANland and open like 45mins late 🤣
I'm really looking forward to this being up and running.
I'm looking forward to not needing to drive to Richmond during rush hour
was there any zoning issues with this? you did pretty much go from industrial building to a commercial setup.
Jake is an annoying kid who just wants ice cream when he says it and says mean things if you don't get him ice cream.
Martin Jennifer Clark Nancy Smith Steven
You should look into yodeck as your content management system. Runs nicely on a raspberry pi, easy to use, can manage it remotely and have had it running in several buildings for years with zero issues. Pretty cost effective too!
Corsair cable ties on the server cables instead of LTT ones? smh
Should really consider putting some of those cameras on the ceiling so theres a bird eye view
I use Ubiquity 4k 22x zoom G5 PTZ $300 each and they send RTMP to my OBS for streaming to audience area.
I had to figure out a cheap and easy digital signage program for a previous job, and there's one called PiSignage, that just runs on pretty much any Raspberry Pi. And you get to use two without having to buy a license. We needed a lot, and I left that job before we fully implemented it, but it seems like it'd be way better for the shop use case than the annoying system you're using now.
linus i think you reached your mid life crisis with this one.
Since I know you guys are going to be using Dante speakers all I can say is make sure to put any switch you have that is running av trafic through it into "av mode" (Unifi's name for qos settings) as well as set your Dante latency as high as you can make it go so the devices dont throw a bunch of ptp and late packet errors. Also you might wanna look into QSC Q-SYS for dsp, PA, and control especially since they have software Dante support. You can even have touch panel controls or even phone uci controls.
Wow, I'm seeing a lot of products here that are complete shit and its kinda shocking considering these companies are the industry leads.
I am glad that you're seeing a lot of things working out though, it must be a relief to see all it coming together. So cool.
Day 10 of complaining for bearded non-blond Linus back.
i was about to say its a shame its happening in BC, but honestly, im just jealous this isnt happening in Ont
Wireless chargers, built into the benches would be sick
0:00 Me as a teacher of English as a second language teaching how to pronounce words with "th".
I think this is the great video for ANYONE to watch who is going to be doing a similar prodject. IE building out a space with many different subcontractors and systems. Especially if you are going to be doing slightly different stuff then most. As in most people won't be specing out such a place for so much networking.
I'm not saying specific examples here will apply. BUT more as a cautionary tail of how much can fall through the cracks. Simple things like the missing ethernet ports. If they aren't on the plan they aren't in the quote, they won't be in the build. Or things are on the plan and there is a pattern but a deviation at some point (IE you need two cameras in one spot insterad of one), be sure explicitly can obviously call it out on the plans. Also who is responsible for the finishing details, (wire/fiber termination, electrical hookup). A great contractor will just have it built into their quotes. A good contractor will ask about. Your average contrator will look at the spec/plans, see it's not called for, and then not do it.
All of the “failure” is good for business experiences…even the most experience one gonna make mistake when hit by reality…you only realize it when they installed and like “eh wait..why we don’t do this?that?” Improvement and troubleshooting is inevitable 😂
Don't know if anyone has mentioned this but at my work they use screenly to wirelessly play content on tvs. You just download it to a raspberry pi and that's about it. There's a free version and paid version but i don't know how well it'll work for you guys. Works great for us
lol dan is absolutely my favorite new cast member on LTT 😂
ahh the discrepancy between slang and the "wireless access point"
every time these guys say "wap" I think, "dam linus is a player"
weird intro
Love the passion Linus .
Commercial displays for commercial tasks….. leave the domestic hardware for home
RiseVision for your digital signage. It's worth the cost for the ease of use.
